2. Promoty

Promoty offers influencer marketing tools for effective campaign management, giving you detailed statistics on every post, direct from Instagram.

Platforms covered: Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok

Free trial: Yes

Pricing: Starting from $145/month

Promoty’s influencer search feature has filters for interests, audience, or Instagram metrics, as well as their audience’s age, location, gender, or interests. This helps you take the guesswork out of who to work with by only presenting you with influencers with a relevant audience. Gain further insight into potential collaborators with relevant metrics, follower growth, follower credibility, interests, past collaborations, notable followers, and similar profiles.

As you search, you can add potential collaborators to a categorized list. When you’re ready to contact them, you can do so directly from the app, and manage your campaigns as well as payouts from there, too.

Promoty also has influencer management features, to help you keep track of ongoing collaboration statuses.

3. Upfluence

This full-service influencer marketing platform comes at a higher minimum price, but covers more platforms and offers service add-ons

Platforms covered: Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, and blogs

Free trial: No

Pricing: On request

Upfluence is a well-known influencer marketing platform with a broad range of features. Their discovery tool is great in scope of platforms, covering all the major channels plus blogs. The database is limited in size, however, in comparison to some of the other platforms on this list. This is because influencers need to apply to be approved to be listed on their database, which means you are missing out on a lot of untapped potential.

Upfluence offers an agency/SaaS hybrid model. That means a hands-off approach that saves you the trouble of doing all the searching yourself, but you can expect to pay a premium for this.

Other features include a social listening tool, real-time statistics on your campaigns, and managing affiliates.

Upfluence is also strong in ecommerce integrations, with native connections to Shopify, BicCommerce, Klaviyo & others.

Pricing is available on request, but seems to start around $800-$1000/month based on conversations we've had with existing & past users. If that's too expensive, see here for Upfluence alternatives, including how tools like Modash compare.

4. #paid

#paid pivoted into a full marketplace model. It pairs brands and pre-vetted creators to get your influencer marketing campaign up and running quickly.

Platforms covered: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok

Free trial: No

Pricing: Unknown

The advantage of using a marketplace like #paid is that influencers are there for collabs. They're highly likely to respond, because they're actively looking for new partners.

The downside, however, is that it means those creators are likely already promoting lots of different products. And, there's a limited number of creators in the marketplace. You're not choosing from the best creators in the world, but rather the best creators that have actively chosen to sign up to that marketplace.

For the brand, #paid works by letting you open a campaign with a brief, and letting creators respond with a “hand raise”. A written message detailing why they think they would be a good fit for your brand and what their strategy would be.

5. HypeAuditor

HypeAuditor is an all-in-one influencer marketing platform.

Platforms covered: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, and Twitter

Free trial: Yes

Pricing: On request

HypeAuditor offers an influencer search tool, with a database of 78.5M influencers. Along with the typical search filters, you can search for accounts that mention your brand and work with influencers already talking about you. Or, find your best customers and let them become your brand ambassadors. Or, search by audience location, age, gender, interests, and ethnicity to make sure your message will get to the right audience. Through a keyword search, you’ll be able to find influencers in a specific niche, with a high follower growth rate, or a rising star with a more affordable rate. With a lookalike search, you can expand your influencer network with more creators that are similar to your best-performing influencers.

6. PitchBox

Pitchbox focuses on blogs rather than social media for influencer discovery and marketing.

Free trial: Yes

Pricing: From $550/month

PitchBox offers a simple discovery tool with its proprietary scoring algorithm. It analyzes more than 100 data points to rank bloggers by OEP (Outreach Engagement Probability). After, you can filter through names, social profiles, demographics, and published materials to learn more about them. The platform also integrates with SEO tools like Moz, SEMrush, and Majestic which give you SEO metrics for link vetting. It could be a good choice to find affiliates & influencers outside of social media, who run blogs/websites.

Pitchbox doesn't offer the same filtering & influencer search functionality as some of the tools above like Modash or HypeAuditor, though.

7. Heepsy

Heepsy is specifically designed to help you find influencers. Advanced search filters allow for precise results, and once your list is ready, it can be exported.

Platforms covered: Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok

Free trial: Yes

Pricing: Starting from $59/month

Heepsy’s aim is to save you time and money in your influencer discovery. Its advanced filters let you search for specific handles, keywords, engagement rate, location, and the list goes on. This tool is especially useful if you’re looking to work with micro-influencers to target a niche audience. Audience searches are a breeze for looking at demographics and authenticity. The AI-powered search engine learns to analyze influencer profiles and content and then segments the results based on your search criteria.

8. Klear

Klear’s AI-powered discovery tool saves you time by finding relevant results without the need for extensive filtering.

Platforms covered: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and blogs

Free trial: No

Pricing: On request

Klear is trying to simplify influencer searching by using AI & reducing the need for extra filtering. Categories for searching are narrowed down to 12 filters, like mentions, location, and audience demographics. Once you’ve got your results, you can dive further into each influencer to learn more about them. Klear shows engagement level, not engagement rate, which is broken down into categories like average and outstanding and then paired together with numbers about engagement type. Klear then scores influencers, as well as each social channel. The AI also checks for fake followers and engagement, to make sure your campaigns are reaching actual humans.

9. NinjaOutreach

Platforms covered: YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter

Free trial: Yes

Pricing: Starting from $149/month

NinjaOutreach has an influencer database of 100M creators and allows you to search on YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram.

The platform uses machine learning and natural language processing to constantly improve data and bring updated content to users.

Like many tools mentioned above, NinjaOutreach lets you search influencers by niche, location, audience, size, engagement rate, and budget.

A feature that makes NinjaOutreach stand out is the automated outreach message allowing you to set automated outreach messages on Twitter. With custom outreach email templates, you can also personalize how you reach out to each influencer. You can even automate up to 2 follow-up emails.

NinjaOutreach has a Chrome extension that allows you to add leads as you browse. The extension also automatically removes duplicates. You can integrate the platform with all the major eCommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento.

While the platform provides tracking and monitoring features, it's not that advanced. It also doesn't have a dashboard for influencers.

10. Traackr

Platforms covered: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr, and blogs

Free trial: Yes

Starting price: Custom pricing

As one of the first influencer marketing platforms, Traackr provides tools for influencer discovery, campaign management, analytics and reporting, affiliate programs, and product seeding.

You can find influencers on Traackr by:

  • Content search: based on mentions of your brand, competitors, topics of interest, and hashtags.
  • Influencer attributes: by criteria such as job title, gender, location, language, platform, follower count, and engagement rate
  • Audience criteria: by specifying audience gender, age, family status, interests, brand affinity, location, occupation, and income level.
  • Proactive recommendations: by looking at influencers recommended to you through insightful past behavior.

Traackr helps businesses work with global influencers. Its network spans 50 countries, and the platform is accessible in 26 languages.

But Traackr is not suitable for small businesses with a limited budget. Subscriptions are sold on an annual or multi-year basis and are not cheap. They also have a limited influencer database (6M), especially on a local level. See Traackr alternatives.

How to choose your influencer search tool

It’s all well and good to have a list of features for different tools in front of you, but how do you really choose? Obviously, it depends on your brand, its size, and your marketing goals, but here are a few other criteria to keep in mind when choosing the best influencer search tool for your brand.

  1. How much does it cost? Money is probably one of the most important factors, if not the most important, in choosing the right platform. If you’re a small business or just starting out on your influencer marketing journey, your budget may be limited. Why not choose a platform that offers a free trial before you commit to a plan?
  1. Search filters. Again, it depends on the type of influencer you’re looking for. For some brands, a few basic filters may do the trick, but other brands may need something more sophisticated.
  1. How large is the database? Look for platforms with large databases. Platforms with vetted influencers will have a significantly smaller database to choose from because influencers need to apply to be listed. And make sure they have a fake follower tool. What good is working with an influencer with 100K followers, if half of them are fake?
  1. Is it easy to use? You may find the most powerful platform out there, but if it’s difficult or confusing to use, you will spend more time learning how to use it to get the most out of it, than actually finding influencers.

  }
