  2. Being in the water for moments like this is something I’ll never get over. Everything happens so fast and you’re just trying to take it in while also capturing it. This was shot in really low light, and the photo didn’t come out the way the moment actually felt at all. I edited this in @lightroom on Desktop and was able to bring it back to something that feels way closer to what it was like being there. Shaping the light, cleaning up the grain, and turning a split second underwater into something I can actually hold onto. That’s what I love about it.   3. A few days ago we dropped the dog we found off at the @hawaiianhumane to start the adoption process. This is to ensure that no one can try to take her from us once we adopt her. While she was unchipped, for 48 hours someone could have still claimed her as their dog if they could provide proof. It’s been more than 48 hours, so that window is closed. We are not allowed to get updates, but if she’s still there it means that she is being put through an adoption eligibility period. They are monitoring her behavior and health to make sure she can be put up for adoption. We chose their Opt-to-Adopt program meaning they will give her back to us should she be adoptable. She is a very good good, so I’m not worried at all about her behavior. As for health, was a stray with sightings as early as September 2025. During that time, I’m not sure what happened to her. She has a rash on their inner thighs that itched, but nothing else obvious. Right now, all we can do is put faith in the system and that we are doing the right thing. #hawaii #hawaiianhumanesociety #dogslife #heartbreak #dog

People always ask us how we managed college sports, full-time classes, work, and parenting all at the same time… and honestly, one of the greatest accidental things we ever did was teach her independence early 🥺🤍 She came everywhere with us. Late night study sessions, team practices, homework marathons… all of it😂 We’d set her bottle in her hands while we rushed to finish assignments, and eventually she learned to hold it herself as just a tiny baby. Looking back, we used to feel guilty sometimes wondering if we were forcing independence too early… But honestly, I also think God truly blessed us with such a good baby because He knew how much we were trying to carry during that season🥺 She adapted to our crazy schedules, stayed patient through the chaos, and somehow grew alongside us through every stressful season and late night. I’m obviously still learning every single day as a mom and I am by no means a child expert 😂 but I’m starting to realize how important teaching independence early can be. I really do think it’s helped teach her confidence, adaptability, and how to grow with us instead of around us. 3 years later & she still goes to sleep herself and sleeps in so maybe we accidentally cracked the code ?🙏🏼😂 #toddler #independentbaby #firsttimeparents #collegelife #ut
