  1. As requested, a visual of the Apple Cider Vinegar Final Rinse I swear by!⁣ ⁣ The starting point is cleansed, conditioned (rinsed out) and brushed hair. There's filtered water and a generous splash of acv in my bowl, the measurement is what suits MY hair. The amount of acv needed will vary depending on your porosity but this is especially great for high porosity hair like mine. A guide of acv measurements are in @themestizamuse website article on this topic. ⁣ ⁣ 2 mins later you can see shiny clumps have reformed, smoothed out and been lifted of any residual heaviness from my deep conditioner. I rinse very lightly afterwards and style as normal. Please keep in mind my hair is very long now and in major need of a trim. Usually the results are a LOT more dramatic than this but you get the idea 😉 ⁣And NO, there's no residual vinegar smell. ⁣ ⁣ I only ever use organic apple cider vinegar with the mother, usually Braggs. Has anybody tried their ACV with raw honey??   1. Today marks my 2 month anniversary of being full Curly Girl Method. I pretty much started my journey 3 years ago without even realizing it!! I was on a healthy hair journey and stopped heat styling and stopped getting it colored every few months. I now only get my hair balayaged once a years. Back in December I started doing a modified version of the CGM. I finally decided in March to go full CGM thanks to some very inspirational ladies here on Instagram ( @coffeecurlygirl @powerdomi @wavyblondelle @elyssacurlygirl @katherinepagewaves @ingecurls @wavestocurls @curly_n_fab @curlicue_lu ) to name a few 😬😘. It can be a frustrating journey sometimes!! If you stick with it it is totally worth it though! So don’t give up! Everyone in this community has been so helpful and I appreciate you all ☺️🤗💜

  2. 𝐼𝓃𝒽𝒶𝓈𝒾 𝒩𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝒶𝓁𝓈...⁣ ⁣ @inahsinaturals so very kindly gifted me a bunch of products. I have been playing around with them for over a month now. As you guys probably know my hair has been a challenge ever since I got it cut and bleached. I finally figured out what to do! More on that later 😉⁣ ⁣ I have to say I have been really loving these products. Especially their Custard! It gives me a really nice cast and I can use a lot of it. Some custards are too heavy for me and I can only use a tiny bit. I have found their products to be very hydrating and not heavy. Which is so important to me!! ⁣ ⁣ ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕀 𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕞⁣ ⁣ Shower:⁣ ~I applied their Mango Hemp Restorative Hair Masque for 15 mins to wet hair⁣ ~I used their sulfate free Clarifying Mint Shampoo (it smells so fresh and exactly like mint. It doesn’t strip my hair at all)⁣ ~I applied their Soothing Mint Conditioner and let it sit for a few mins and detangled. I couldn’t believe how easily my brush slid through my massive tangles. Seriously it was so easy 🙏🏻🙏🏻⁣ ⁣ Styling:⁣ *I squeezed a little water out of my hair but not very much. I wanted my hair to be soaking wet!! I was bent over most of my Styler application. ⁣ ~ I used about a quarter sized amount of the Aloe Hibiscus leave in. I glazed and scrunched it in.⁣ *I sprayed my hair with a little water⁣ ~I took a small glob of the Coconut Avocado Curl Defining Custard and glazed and scrunched it in.⁣ *sprayed my hair with water and applied another layer of the Custard.⁣ *I then used a giant glob of my Eco Professional Styling Gel. I sprayed my hair with more water. I stood upright and distributed more gel carefully flipping my hair from side to side and scrunching⁣ ~ I went in with another layer of Custard while I was upright. ⁣ *I plopped for about 30 mins. And then very very lightly scrunched with the shirt I had used for plopping. ⁣ *I diffused for about 45 mins and smastered with some Pantene volume mousse. I allowed the rest to air dry. Then Ta-da 💁🏼‍♀️💜⁣

The other day I decided to mix some of my gels together in a bowl before applying it.   2. Oh hey shrinkage! . Am I the only one that immediately hears George Costanza and giggles whenever a curly mentions shrinkage 🤷🏻‍♀️🤓🤣!? . . Sorry for the obnoxious amount of photos here but today’s wash day experiment was a 💣 success. Last wash day was a stringy mess (gel experiment gone bad) so thank the curl gods for today’s results 🙌 . . . I’ve read from curly pros on here about trying products that may not work for you again further along in your journey. That’s what I did today... . . . I started my wavy journey with mostly devacurl products but quickly realized their stylers were way too drying for me and moved on to other lines. But highly inspired by two of my favorite wavies @wavycurly & @thewavyhapa I decided to give Wavemaker & Frizz Free foam another shot. Now that I know my hair & regularly used products better I decided to add a generous amount of my favorite moisturizing products before hand and it made ALL the difference! No surprise it was two of my holy grails @asiamuk Coconut Cowash & my bae @bouncecurl Leave In. . . . I’ve never experienced noticeable shrinkage (still laughing 🤣) until today.   1. “How do I protect my curls overnight?” 😴 here are three ways: 1. Silk scrunchie (@onlycurlslondon) & silk pillowcase (@veyesilk) 2. Pineapple protector (also from Only Curls) 3. Satin bonnet Protecting your curls overnight is key is making sure they last into days 2, 3 and beyond. I personally use methods 1 & 2 together & I’m now at a point in my ‘hair journey’ that I don’t need to refresh my hair the next morning. If you need to refresh your hair the next morning, simply take the scrunchie off, let your hair settle for 10-15 mins (don’t touch it or do anything to it), spritz on a bit of water and add a tiny bit of leave in and/or gel & diffuse if you need 💖 Which method do you use? ⤵️

  2. 👩🏾‍🦱 Like lots of other people bored in quarantine/lockdown from March I picked up a new hobby: I started doing my hair and trying to get it back to a healthy state (something I had attempted & quit various times over the last 7 years as you can see by the left pictures of the SECOND time I got my hair chemically relaxed). 📸 At some point in late March, I just randomly started posting pictures of my washday on my page (I didn’t even bother to make a separate insta for this purpose like lots of other people do 🤣) because I thought it would be something I did for a week or two and then gave up on again but it’s been 7 months & I’m still here and still enjoying it. ✂️ I’ve learned so much through the accounts I’ve followed, I’ve been able to help people with their own hair queries so that they can hopefully experience less frustration going through the process than I did & I’ve (virtually) met so many lovely people behind the accounts. 🎞 *SO* The upshot is that I’ve decided to keep this account *just* for documenting curls. If you’re one of the 100 friends or friends of friends I had on this page before lockdown, I’ve followed you from my new page so feel free to unfollow this one unless you want to see purely curly content/pictures of washday. *You’ve been warned!* ❤️

  3. I quit CGM 2x before modifying the method & sticking with it!! I constantly see posts from people stressing about following the rules of CGM to the letter. Trying to juggle all of the rules AND find products that complied with all the #CGM rules was a big part of why I quit before. SO here are the #CGMrules that I break: 1. ❌ I don’t cowash. It is just not feasible for me living in London/Oxford- both have hard water. I tried it for a few months when I started; it left my hair over-moisturised and my scalp irritated. If you identify with this, try switching to a gentle shampoo instead & remember to clarify often. 2. ❌ I use water soluble silicones. I find that they work in my hair and since I don’t cowash but use a gentle shampoo instead, it’s pretty easy to cleanse them out of my hair. 3. ❌ I use products with ‘harsh’ alcohols (alcohol denat., isopropyl alcohol etc) if this ingredient is far down the ingredients list. Lots of products require trace amounts of harsh alcohols for formulation or preservation reasons. As long as this ingredient is at the end/near the end of the ingredient list this isn’t the biggest deal. 4. ❌ I use oils. I use oils to seal the hair strand (through LOC styling which gives me shine) and I use oils to pre-poo. Again, because I use a gentle shampoo, rather than cowashing, and I clarify often with an SLS shampoo this doesn’t cause me any issues. 5. ❌ I clarify with harsh sulphates (in chelating shampoos) more than would be considered strictly ‘necessary’. I find that products build up in my hair quickly/minerals in the water build up so I need to remove them often. 6. ❌ I use heat to diffuse. Without this, I’d be getting on the tube and going to work with wet hair. I find this extremely uncomfortable (esp in London during winter). Diffusing with low heat isn’t the end of the world. 7. ❌ I occasionally straighten my hair using a silicone heat protector. You’re supposed to be able to enjoy your hair & for me, that means changing up my look. At the end of the day, the method has to work for you- not the other way round! What rules do you break? ⤵️

Hal Yang Harus Kamu Tahu Soal Beauty Reviewer part 2 ⛔ NO SPAM LIKE [ SAVE SHARE FOR MORE BEAUTIES INFO ] "Kalimatnya diperhalus ya kak" Sempet bikin aku down tuh 1.5 tahun lalu, beban banget gegara duit segini... (Kalau tajir aku gak mau dah, mendingan beliii, asli sampai mikir begitu). Aku tau, di sini brand bayar/ kirim barang sesuai value (walau banyak juga yang kirim under under value) tapi coba deh bikin benang merah mana yang "harus perhalus", mana yang 'ngejelekin brand". Kayaknya reviewer/ KOL (kecuali salah 1 pihak ini ada nackal) paham deh yang namanya kerjasama, gak mungkin ngejele-jelein tapi harus tetep jujur. Kulit tuh beda-beda, 1 orang 1 muka, setiap area aja bisa beda permasalahannya (dahi, pipi kanan, dagu cepet cloggedpore, pipi kiri aman sentosa), gitu juga respon kulit sama formulasi skincare yang kita pakai, beda-beda.   2. I’ve been a little MIA with posting lately but you know life has been lifeing ✨ So here’s a photo dump to catch yall up since opening my suite!
