4. Gail Kollmar
Gail has more than 25 years experience teaching fiber arts in many venues including public high school, community clubs, craft stores, fiber farm workshops, historical demonstrations and, most recently, online. She (normally) holds weekly workshops and shared lessons at her local craft store, where she enjoys teaching knitting, crochet, embroidery, needle felting, wet felting, and even, on occasion, spinning. Helping students understand and master new skills from the very beginning to advanced techniques is one of her greatest rewards. She lives with her husband, three homeschooled teens and a variety of furry friends. Gail holds a BS in Family and Consumer Science and is certified to teach grades K-12.
Hi! My name is Kika and I'm a knit designer living in Helsinki, Finland. I’ve always been a passionate knitter, fun fact: Kutova actually means knitting in Finnish. Back in 2017 I moved to Stockholm and started to post photos of my knitwear on Instagram. The photography bug hit me and after getting featured 6 times by Instagram, I became a full time content creator and felt I wanted to share more of the behind the scenes and find a way to connect even more online.

We know that for people on the outside, knitting can seem like an "old person's hobby" for people who long for comfort but not adventure, ease and not a challenge. We don't think that's true at all. Knitting takes time, effort, patience, determination and focus. Knitting is about balance – finding harmony in our duality of wanting peace and adventure, in our quest for solitude and a community we can call our own.
We're here for people who want to celebrate that duality–their whole self–and find the balance between their peaceful and adventurous sides. Our patterns offer both a form of meditation and physical therapy and a way to challenge yourself when you think you cannot go any further or do any better....
