Winter is back in Iceland ❄️ aaaand we’ve just made it through the darkest 10 weeks of the year, and I’m so ready for brighter days ahead. ❄️😄☀️ Iceland in winter is something else: beautiful, intense, and unpredictable. The darkness has its charm, with the northern lights, stars, and soft snow lighting up the nights, but I’m starting to crave a bit more balance between light and dark. ✨ It’s been snowing nonstop today, and I’ve been trying to stay active and soak in as much of this winter as I can, whether it’s walks in the snow or just stepping outside to feel the fresh air. It helps me stay grounded and reminds me how beautiful this season is, even when it feels endless. 😄 Oh, and we’re also in the middle of renovating the house! Life lately, living on another planet 🪐 I love to shoot pictures, I find myself constantly drawn to this ever-changing landscapes. The way the light hits the snow, the way the northern lights flicker across the sky. It never gets old here. But at the same time, there’s this strange feeling, like I’m documenting a place that might not stay the same much longer. A weekend in Vestmannaeyjar islands 🌋 we did so much, we hiked up Eldfell, the volcano that erupted in 1973. The views from the top were stunning. As for where we stayed: it was like a dream and I can highly recommend it for families and groups. It’s called Luxury Ocean Villas by : @hotelvestmannaeyjar 🏠😍 I got invited 🙏🏼 This incredible house has views that took my breath away. Standing on a hillside, it overlooked the entire island, with volcanoes in the distance and the ocean right there. Mornings were for coffee on the deck, and evenings were spent listening to the waves. 🌊🏠🐧 One of the sweetest parts of the trip was rescuing puffin babies, or “pufflings.” 🐧 The Vestmannaeyjar Islands are wild and beautiful, and this weekend was unforgettable. 🏝️ Jacket and sweater are @66nor
