our top 3 tips for a diy electrical system 👇🏼 Tip#1: start by asking yourself what appliances are a MUST. For example, if you want a blender, account for it! And remember you’ll usually be running more than one thing at any given time. Our recommendation is to try to use as many 12 volt appliances as possible. 120 volt appliances require extra power to convert through the inverter so steer clear where possible! Tip #2: once you determine your daily power needs, you can start to think about how you get charged and STAY charged. Personally, we have three ways of charging up and would recommend you do something similar. The first way is solar, which is what we use the most because it allows us to stay off-grid & out in nature for long periods of time. The second way is our battery to batter

We will be living and traveling in this rig full-time, just like we have in the past with our other campers with off-grid power setups, so we aren’t new to knowing what we need for comfortable off-grid living #battlebornpartner So, why did we go with such a large battery bank in this build? Being able to get out there, and stay out there longer is always the main goal, but space plays a large part in this setup. Because this is a 24ft boat, and the roof space is largely occupied by our second helm, we don’t have a ton of space available for solar panels. We know we won’t be able to fit thousands of watts of solar panels on here, so a larger battery bank paired with some solar charging, and charging from the alternator should allow us to anchor or camp camp off-grid without having to worry
