@lepera saved my ass on the way to and from @sturgisrally this year. After getting a new seat for the sporty I thought maybe my butt was broken - cause DAMN that thing is comfortable! I wasn’t even aching at 3k! I talked to @dontayfromlepera and he lovingly put a softer foam on the sporty! I didn’t know that was a thing!! Goblin was immediately jealous and had to match. Install was super easy and the pucker on the side filled in with some suntanning. They’re located right up the street from me so I had grabbed it right after it was made - the foam needed a moment to settle in. It for sure made a difference, I had already done @hdhomecoming and back on my original foam and so the difference was awesome for me. I also swapped to pleated for a little more comfort. Day 2 of the BIG TRiP is in the can! It was HOT! Started in Indio and hit Joshua Tree National Park which was very cool and I had the whole place pretty much to myself! Started making moves to Vegas and on the way ran into this sweet retro Route 66 rest area where a soccer mom offered to take my picture. 😂 She asked me how to use my camera and I told her she’s asking the wrong guy lol. Vegas felt like I was riding through the inside of an air fryer and I pretty much wanted to die until I made it to Zion National Park, which far and away the coolest place I’ve ridden a motorcycle. The Pan America is a monster. Highway machine. A suitcase with wheels that has street bike passing power and annihilates the left lane and anyone in it. This year’s Happy Valley Rally shined so bright in so many ways it might honestly be impossible to top. We had 28 riders at the starting line from Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, PA, NY, CT, NH, NJ, and 78 year old Rick from Arizona who rode a cool 2,350+ miles to the start on his Sportster. 🤯 Everyone showed up on their homebuilt Dirtster, everyone checked their ego at the door, we all ate dinner together every night, we all partied together afterwards too. Everyone got along, shared hotel rooms, shared their spare parts after crashes happened, everyone helped pull bikes out of the woods or push start them when needed. Our only mission for the weekend was to get everyone across the finish line and have a great time. The comradery ran so deep that @class_meets_trash traded bikes w

Happy Valley Rally day 2 started off slow but boy did it pick up FAST! 🤣 Plenty more crashes, wheelies, and 88 year old woman dumped the clutch in her Miata convertible and lit up the tires, Spin bicycle BMX, exhaust pickle shooting contests, couple close calls with the boys in blue, but we all made it through in one piece! The riding all day ruled but most of the adventure of HVR happens after the bikes get parked. To me the essence of Harley Davidson is pushing the boundary. It’s about throwing caution into the same wind that’s whipping around you.
