My top tips for staying motivated during the summer monthsโฆ I am very guilty of checking the weather forecast and then deciding to skip the gym if the sun is out! If any of you are like me then here are some of my tips to help you get in those sessions when all you want to be doing is relaxing in the sun!๐โโ๏ธ 1) Start your day earlier!! I think this is the number one tip for all of my โtop tipโ posts but it really is the best thing you can do! Get your workout done before the sun is out and before your day has properly started!!๐ 2) Utilise being outside! If the weather is lovely and you want to make the most of it, use outdoor spaces where you can! Go to a park and do some pull ups, go on a run, do a hiit workout in the garden etc etc๐โโ๏ธ๐ดโโ๏ธ 3) Plan out your week! Swap your rest days

However, it's important to acknowledge that you won't always have high levels of motivation and at certain times of year your mood can and will dip. Accepting this can be quite empowering as it helps remove that guilt of not achieving your regular levels of activity. Expecting high levels of activity 24/7 is neither achievable nor realistic, you'll just end up burnt out! Less sunlight means less serotonin unfortunately and consequently affecting motivation levelsโ๏ธ. Nevertheless, doing things we genuinely enjoy can increase serotonin levels which can then give us that motivation
