Rolls-Royce has announced plans to partner with the Indian Navy to design and develop the country’s first electric warship, marking a major milestone in India’s move toward greener and more advanced naval technology. Abhishek Singh, Senior Vice President for Defence in India and Southeast Asia at Rolls-Royce, said the company is ready to support India’s naval modernization with its hybrid-electric and full-electric propulsion systems. The initiative will leverage Rolls-Royce’s advanced MT30 marine gas turbine, known globally for its power, density, and reliability. This technology is central to the company’s Integrated Full Electric Propulsion (IFEP) systems used in several modern naval fleets. For instance, the HMS *Prince of Wales* in the UK’s Carrier Strike Group uses dual MT30 turbines
