[AD] Looking for super fun day out this half term? Add The Historic Dockyard Chatham to your list — just 1 hour by train from London, followed by a quick bus ride! It was our first time visiting and we were seriously impressed. You can easily spend a whole day exploring — from award-winning exhibitions and hands-on family activities to outdoor play areas perfect for kids of all ages. There’s space for picnics, an on-site restaurant, and even a cosy indoor café with soft play. 🚢Don’t miss the Brickwrecks: Sunken Ships in LEGO® Bricks exhibition – a huge hit with kids (and grown-ups). There are interactive building zones where families can create their own pieces to add to the display. I built a pink boat – my son thought it was hilarious! 🛶😂 ⚓ But the real highlight? Once the home of British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, this grand estate called @hughendennt isn’t just about beautiful interiors and lush gardens but during WWII, it was secretly used to create highly classified maps for bombing missions, making it a hidden intelligence hub! 🕵️♂️💡 Walking through its rooms, you’ll find Disraeli’s personal belongings, stunning art, and a glimpse into the covert operations that remained unknown for decades. Whether you love history, architecture, or simply a good mystery, this place is a must-visit! 🔍 AD #HughendenManor #SecretPast #HistoryUncovered #VictorianElegance #UKTravel #LondonBlogger #TravelBlogger #VisitUK #ExploreMore #Wanderlust #LuxuryTravel #HiddenGems #TravelPhotography #UKStaycation #ScenicViews #VisitBritain #TravelDiaries #FoodieTr

Dine on a Murder on the Orient Express movie set?! 🚂✨ One of the highlights of my Lake District trip - Bassenthwaite Lake Station! 🚂✨ You can actually dine inside a vintage train carriage, which is a replica of the one from the 2017 Murder on the Orient Express film. It was built wider for the cameras, and now it’s been transformed into the most atmospheric café 🕵️♂️🎬 We went for lunch, and the setting was absolutely stunning - classic, cosy, and full of old-school charm. The menu was just as impressive! We tried 🥙 Spicy Korean Flatbread and 🍖 Trio of Cumbrian Lamb & Couscous. The flavours were incredible, a perfect mix of international twists and local Cumbrian ingredients. And if you go, save room for dessert because the sweet treats looked amazing! 🍰☕ If you’re visiting the Lake

ad Why Romans carved 🍆 on walls 😳 And… There aren’t just two but 57 of these all across Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland, one that spans across 73 miles that guarded the north west frontier of the Roman Empire. These carvings aren’t meant to be crude but hold significant cultural importance in Ancient Rome and act as protective talismans too, believed to ward off negative spirits and attract good fortune and fertility or act as status symbols to represent authority over the territory. We went on a tour with Catherine from @handyhistoryhistories, the most passionate guide, who took us on the hike along Hadrian’s Wall teaching us about the Romans in Britain and showed us ancient tablets and tools including this… Ordered by emperor Hadrian, this took 6 years to build and was completed in 12

And this little piggy didn’t want to come home 🐖 What do you get if you mix really, really good food, your own spa suite and excellent attention to detail? The Pigs Pub, duh! Located in Edgefield, Norfolk, this place offers such a lovely retreat without the upright stuffiness you sometimes find in spas. We stayed in a Spa Suite and ate in the pub itself. I had theee most delicious pie with its own piggy imprint on the pastry 🐷 In the room you’ll find lovely little luxuries like complimentary shortbread, luxury teabags, sanitary products and OF COURSE, the in room sauna and steam room! 🛁 The pub is located just a few minutes from Holt, which I’ll be sharing more about soon… what a beautiful place! As mentioned in the video, it’s definitely worth signing up to @norfolk_passport because yo

ad Let’s talk about British food… It doesn’t get the credit it deserves. I’m currently in Northumberland with my friend Viv enjoying the outdoors, dark skies and the food. I’ve been blown away by the warmth, hospitality and… the very hearty portions. PLACES FEATURED: 🍴 @ThePheasantInn_Kielder Cosy pub by the fire with Northumberland cheese soufflé and pork belly with excellent crackling. Close to Kielder Observatory too! 🍴@TwiceBrewedInn Our accommodation with a full English fry up and traditional Sunday roasts 🍴@oldboathousefoodgroup Locally sourced seafood restaurant! Loved the chowder with big cheese scones, creamy juicy oysters, lobster thermidor and a dressed crab with garlic butter. 🍴@AdGefrin some of the best vegetarian food at a whisky distillery! POV: It’s blossom season in the UK and you’re in the largest Taihaku Cherry Blossom Orchard in the world! @alnwickgarden Did you know the north of the UK has the world’s largest collection of Taihaku blossoms! I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Alnwick Garden has the largest collection of ‘Taihaku’ in the world, comprising of 329 trees which all currently in bloom right now! The Taihaku Cherry Blossom is known as the ‘Great White’ for its snow like clusters of 7cm long blooms. Fun fact: Apparently these Taihaku blossoms are now non-existent in Japan, where they originated!
