#ad Cappy can be very spicy at the vet. He is a very sensitive kitty and just wants to feel safe. Over the years, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks to help make vet visits a little bit easier. A lot of the confidence building starts at home. We practice routines that help set us up for success like using an at-home scale to take his weight and keeping his carrier out at all times. I also prep with intention. His carrier always includes a soft blanket, toys, snacks and his cone of confidence. Cappy feels much more secure when his face and whiskers are protected. We stick with the same clinic and care team, which has worked wonders in building trust.
