Do you have anything fun planned this weekend? I started my reread of Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry, so I’m hoping to finish that this weekend and start my ARC of Rites of the Starling! Other than that, I’m hoping to have a lazy weekend. It’s been a long week and I just want to read in my pjs. 🤣 I might do some retail therapy this weekend as well, since there’s a Big Spring Sale going on over on Amazon, and there’s a ton of paperbacks available at a discounted price, including several on my wish list. 👀 The deluxe edition of One and Only by Karla Sorensen recently re-released, with sprayed edges and a bonus epilogue. Have you added any new books to your shelves recently? Or what was the last thing you bought (whether or not it’s book-related? I just preordered a German edition of Heated Rivalry with sprayed edges. It was an impulse buy, but I have zero regrets. 🤣 Most of my recent book purchases have been special edition pre-orders, some of which I’ve received recently, but they’re still in the boxes because I need to make room for them. 🫣 I also received some book mail courtesy of a few publishers. It’s a mix of romance and fantasy, and a mix of authors I’ve read before and some that are new to me. What book are you starting out the week reading? I’m switching between a shifter romance by Rochelle Paige and the audiobook of On the Brink of Bliss by AL Jackson, which I’m hoping to finish today. There’s a ton of books that I want to get started on, including some recent book mail courtesy of various authors and publishers. This is a mix of new and upcoming releases, as well as some re-releases. I’ve read several of these already, but also have e-books and audios of a few of these so I can start soon. It has all my favorite tropes small town romance, enemies to lovers, found family and forced proximity. Caleb Colburn comes home to work at the family construction business. Emma Sumner is the architect liaison assigned to his first project and she believes he single handedly ruined her life. Caleb falls hard for Emily. He really sees her and he moves out of his comfort zone to let her into his life. I liked how his whole family had front row seats to watch his relationship unfold with Emma. What was the last book you finished? Did you enjoy it? I recently finished Dove by Paisley Hope, and I loved it! It’s the second book in The Soldiers of Bedlam Series, but chronologically, it takes place before book 1, Wolf.e. It’s funny that the entire time I was reading Wolf.e, I kept wishing we had gotten Ax and Layla’s story, so I was excited when I realized Dove would be going back to the start of their whirlwind romance.
