🎥 💡📸 Lighting for Video + Stills: Here’s a quick tip for setting up your lighting when using continuous lights for video, but you either don’t have enough output for your stills with the same lighting setup, or you want to use strobes for more output or depth of field in your images. If you’re using strobes, place the strobe in the exact spot as your video key light. For instance, in this Starbucks campaign, my “subject light” for our video lighting setup is an LED bounced into an umbrella. I took a strobe and bounced it into the same umbrella, that way, the shape and direction of the subject light is exactly the same in both the video and stills.
