WP Longlist for Fiction - Where to start? It can be pretty overwhelming when longlists are announced. Heart palpitations - too many good (?) books to read; bank balance about to get a beating. That kind of thing. Now I’ve read half of the books on this longlist and so thought it might be helpful if I shared with you all the books I’ve read and LOVED HARD and if you’re an OG Follower of my page and trust my book taste wholeheartedly then screen shot this post and take it with you to your local library/book store/Vinted and order every book I’m about to mention okay? Sweet. So 3 of my favourite books of 2025 are in this brilliant mix. 1. Flashlight by Susan Choi 2. A Guardian and a Thief by Megha Majumdar 3. Heart the Lover by Lily King All 3 books are 5 star reads. Periodt I really enjoyed

Women’s Prize 30 in 30 🩷 I was absolutely delighted when the Women’s Prize got in touch asking me to be a part of their 30in30 campaign to celebrate and further amplify the range of brilliant books by women that have been nominated for the Women’s Prize for Fiction over its 30 year history. I was given the year of 2014 the year ‘A Girl is a half formed thing by Eimer McBride’ won! I’ve loved looking at the shortlist and selecting a title to accompany the winner - with a host of other goodies! Thank you lovely folk at the Women’s Prize! Some more exciting news is that the prize is exclusively partnering with Bookshop.org on this campaign, who’ve kindly offered a 10% discount on the 30 winners and 30 chosen shortlisted books we’re spotlighting throughout the month. Women’s Prize Reading Update! 📚 We all have a lot of books to read (and huge TBRs) so I don’t usually read the longlist, but I always read the full shortlist which is announced next week (22 April) and I’m very much looking forward to seeing what makes the list. These are the three I’ve read from the longlist, and here’s what I think: 🩷 The Correspondent Absolutely adored it. Sybil is quite the character and not particularly likeable but by the end, I felt for her. A beautifully written novel based on the almost forgotten art of letter writing. ❤️ Heart the Lover Again, absolutely loved this one. I listened on audio and am very tempted to read it again in physical format. It’ll tear you apart emotionally, but it is beautiful. 🧡 Wild Dark Shore I did really like this but it didn’t blow m
