  1. What is rider area? If you draw a vertical line from your BB and a horizontal line from your handlebars, you are left with a space that I think shows more accurately the area a rider has in their bike. Top tube length, seat tube angle, handlebar angle all play a part. Had a number of questions about the 22" frame and fork with 20" wheel "20XL" bike & how it affects stance, so I thought I would make this. Remember, we are talking about inches/fractions of inches, so it's not going to be this whopping visual change (tell that to your missus haha). But change your bars by half an inch - you'll notice. This is where the issue of putting bigger and bigger bars on. Aside from adjusting your centre of gravity (& making it easier to lift your front wheel/loop out), you are also getting a smaller rider area; meaning bigger bars makes your bike feel smaller. But if an extra inch is under your frame at the fork, you've just created a more upright stance by dropping your feet closer to the ground, without compromising on your chosen geometry. But this requires your geometry to be build around the 22 F & F & then modified with the 20" wheel.. You can't just put a 22 fork on a 20 frame because you'll kook your geo. All this is very bike nerd stuff, but I think it's pretty interesting. I think that if someone did it with a 24" cruiser and put 22 wheels on, you would have a badass XXL rig too. I am not an engineer btw & I am sure there's some extra insight that could be shared by others, so please do.. I would love to hear your thoughts! #bmx #bmxgeometry #backbonebmx

  2. • Miracle in Central Park • This is not my story but I am telling it with permission from my longtime friend Karra @illkeepitwithmine and her daughter Edie @edvrgg, who is the centre of this miracle. In these unprecedented times I hope it brings a smile to those who read it, reaffirming that sometimes amazing moments of serendipity happen! We also hope someone out there knows Christine Baranski so they can pass this on to her so she can realize the full magnitude of what took place the week before last in Central Park. The story goes like this… At the age of 7, Edie fell madly in love with Christine Baranski after seeing her in Mamma Mia (didn’t we all!) only this was an obsessive and all-encompassing love that has only strengthened over the past eight years. At 15, Edie has watched every single thing Christine has acted in, her interviews, cameos and TV appearances and read every written word about her. Edie knows so much about Christine in fact, that she is going to apply to Hard Quiz with her as her special subject. You get the gist. Last fortnight Karra and Edie’s dad Adam took Edie for her first trip to New York. From the moment she landed, Edie was aware she was in the city in which Christine Baranski lived and had her eyes peeled in the event that she would just walk by her in the street… She convinced Adam to take her to her street, in case she was around. Edie and Adam also spent time in Christine’s favourite cafe in the hopes Edie could spot her, or at the very least soak up her essence. I mean, it sounds kind of stalkerish, but given Edie is a quietly-spoken and extremely polite young teen, Christine, should she ever read this, can rest assured that this obsessive love is a safe love. But I digress. On their last day in New York, having missed any Christine Baranski sightings, Karra to Edie to the Central Park Zoo to see a sloth and an armadillo, Edie’s favourite animals. Sadly, there were no sloths or armadillos, and they walked out slightly disappointed. Until they walked into Christine Baranski. For real. Story continued in comments…

  1. This is never the way I thought I’d be announcing the end of my footy career, but unfortunately I have been forced to medically retire. In hindsight it's probably a blessing because I have always tried pushing through when my body was broken and putting my teammates before everything, but it’s come at a cost.  That’s professional rugby league I guess…we all know what we sign-up for. I have a lot to be grateful for though, which I what I have been trying to focus on.  l'd like to thank every club I've represented in England and Australia and all the people I've worked with over the course of my career…staff behind the scenes, performance specialists, administrators, coaches and most importantly my teammates. I also want to thank the rugby league members and fans who we love playing in front of, through all the ups and downs.  I am retiring knowing I gave everything physically and mentally to the game, every day. The hard work brought me a lot of joy, changed our lives and ultimately provided an opportunity to represent England, which is my proudest achievement.  Last but certainly not least, to my wife Kirby, my kids and extended family…the unconditional love and support you provided was the reason I was able to do it for as long as I did, and for that I’ll forever be appreciative.  I will be staying in the game which has given me everything, but for now I am looking forward to spending time with family and close friends as we enter the next chapter in our lives together ❤️ Thanks again guys, Josh  @hullfcofficial @hullkingstonroversofficial @superleague @raiderscanberra @theparraeels @nrl @englandrugbyleague
