The most important meal of the Camping Day 😋 PB&J Stuffed French Toast 🍞 My version of a fun spin on a classic 😉 Ingredients 🧺 Bread (I used Alfaros Artesano White) Eggs (I used 6 medium eggs) Coffee Creamer (hazelnut or vanilla) Peanut butter of choice Jelly or jam of choice Bacon Sausage Links Butter Strawberries to garnish On a large griddle, cook your bacon and sausage and set aside. Next assemble your peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Mix together your eggs and a splash of coffee creamer to create the French toast batter (I use coffee creamer because it adds flavor and I already had it for my coffee so two in one use lol) Dip your Pb&js in the French toast batter and cover all the sides Set your pan over medium heat and Butter your pan Place your French toasts on the pan and cook for about 3 minutes on each side or until browned slightly (squish down your sandwiches to really get the peanut butter a little melty) Cut into triangles and serve with a side of strawberries And enjoy 😉 I had so much fun making this one, it was easier than I expected and it turned out so so good!! Let’s gather around the campfire 🔥 Ingredients 🧺 Smoked turkey legs Rosemary Ham Canned Pineapple slices Maraschino cherries Instant Mashed Potatoes Green beans Fried onions Cream of chicken Boxed Mac & Cheese Corn on the cob Butter Dinner Rolls Chicken Broth Recipe 📝 Smoked Turkey Legs 🍗 I used smoked turkey legs I grabbed from Walmart(they come individually packaged) I placed this in a lasagna sized foil tray with butter, chicken broth and rosemary. Covered it with foil and placed it in the campfire for 45 minutes Pineapple Glaze Ham 🍍 I used the presliced ham that’s fully cooked and placed it in a bread pan foil tray with sliced canned pineapple and maraschino cherries, add in the juice from the pineapple over top your ham and cover tightly with foil and cook in the fire for 45 minutes Green Bean Casserole 🥘 On a pan melt down a tablespoon of butter and sauté a bag of green beans for about 5 minutes and then add in one can of cream of chicken and mix. Let cook under the green beans are tender. Top with fried onions Mashed Potatoes 🥔 Cook according to instant mashed potatoes box directions (any brand/flavor you like) Mac & Cheese 🧀 Cook according to boxed Mac & cheese directions (any brand you like) Corn 🌽 Wrap each corn on the cob in foil with a tbs of butter and cook over the fire for about 20 mins Dinner rolls 🥖 Warm over the fire (yes I burned mine lol 😅) Fall Punch Mocktail 🥂 Pomegranate Juice (12oz) Orange Juice (12oz) Ginger Ale (8oz) Rosemary Cooking Tips: Aluminum Foil and Zip Lock Bags Aluminum Foil is great for keeping your food warm after cooking as well as cooking on if you plan to cook over the campfire grate (a great way to ensure it’s clean) I also use it to cover my pans if I plan to cook something more saucy or sticky (makes clean up much easier) Ziplock bags are great for post cooked food storage. Getting there isn’t exactly casual. You hike up the mountain, get welcomed with drinks + a full charcuterie spread, can shower if you want (last chance before the domes)… and then it’s time to gear up. You’re provided with a harness, helmet and a personal guide to get you to your own private dome! And once you’re in… you’re in. No leaving until morning. But you have everything you need in the three story dome: food & water, a bathroom, cozy sheets and robes, a walkie talkie to communicate & insaaaane views of Fitz Roy in Patagonia! It’s a little scary & surreal but 100000% one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had.   2. everything we did in Patagonia in April👇🏻 Ok so, the biggest lesson we learned in Patagonia is: book as much time as you possibly can there because the weather is insane. It rained for 6 of our 9 days in El Chalten and we were afraid we weren’t going to see anything! Finally got a weather window and omgggg, it was amazing. Plus going in the fall means, less crowds, easier camping permits, colorful trees (the coolest trees) and slightly cheaper accommodations. In total we were there for about 22 days across the Chile and Argentina side from late March into early April! El Chaltén, Argentina: • Laguna de los Tres at sunrise • OVO Patagonia Via Ferrata Hotel (!!) @ovopatagonia • Laguna Cerro Torre (my favorite) • Laguna Capri • Camped at Poincenot Camp • El Chaltén sign • Sunrise 5 miles outside of town on the main road (rent a bike or grab a cab SO worth it) Puerto Natales, Chile • The cutest little town (also your gateway to the park) • Cold plunge in the Last Hope Fjord • Stay at a ranch: Estancia Peninsula • Took the bus from Puerto Natales to El Chalten Torres del Paine National Park, Chile: • Base of the Towers hike • Mirador Condor (best views) • Explora Hotel boardwalk • Ice hike on Grey Glacier • Do the W Trek (stay at Paine Refugio or Grey Sector) • The stretch between Grey & Paine = unreal • Ferry across Lago Grey Ferry across Lago Pehoé lmk if you have any questions! I’ve tested a lot of GPS cat trackers.   2. Every day. That’s what I keep coming back to. I didn’t talk to Nana every now and then. I didn’t call my Papa Bill once a week. I talked to both of them every single day. It was a ritual. A certainty. No matter what was happening in my life, I knew I could pick up the phone and hear their voices. ⠀ Then Nana died in 2021. Last year, my grandfather followed. ⠀ And over the last few years, I learned that not all grief comes from death. For nearly 20 years, I talked to my best friend almost every day too. Just like Nana. Just like Papa Bill. She was woven into the fabric of my daily life. Then one day, those conversations ended too. ⠀ People don’t realize that grief isn’t just losing a person. It’s losing all the daily moments attached to them. It’s seeing something funny and having nobody to call. It’s hearing good news and reaching for a phone that no longer rings. It’s wanting to tell them about everything. It’s wanting Nana to see the life I’ve built. It’s wanting my grandfather to see the cabin and talk about work. It’s wanting one more conversation about absolutely nothing. ⠀ I think that’s part of why I’ve been struggling lately. So many of the people who were once part of my everyday life are no longer there. Some passed away. Some simply became part of a different chapter. But the space they left behind is real all the same. ⠀ Nature has become the place where I carry that grief. People often ask why I’m always trying to get outside, camp, go into the forest and quiet places. The answer is simple. This is where I come when the weight of missing them becomes too much. ⠀ The forest doesn’t fix it. The mountains don’t heal it. The grief is still there. Three days ago, I opened my phone and felt my stomach drop as I saw a map highlighting every place I’ve ever loved, marked as something our government could exploit for the sake of a dollar ‼️ The Conservation Amendment Bill is one of the largest attacks on nature in Aotearoa’s history ⬇️ If passed, this abhorrant bill would open up around 60% of all conservation land (~ 5 million hectares), to potential sale or exchange oooohhhh but it gets worse For the first time in history, @docgovtnz will be legally forced to prioritise economic development “to the greatest extent practicable” Public submissions close on 2 July and it’s one of the most important opportunities we have EVER had to use our voice Comment “BILL” and I’ll send you: ✍️ A link to oppose the bill (it takes about 6 minutes) 🗺️ The maps showing which conservation areas could be affected 🌲 Resources that explain the bill and what’s being proposed Please please please don’t stay silent. If you want a lighter sorbet-style treat, simply skip the bananas. This one is so simple: 3 frozen peaches 🍑 1 frozen banana 🍌 1/3 cup of Greek yogurt 🍦 1/4-1/2 cup of maple syrup or honey 🍯 
Add the frozen fruit to the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until the fruit is finely chopped and starts to look crumbly. Add the yogurt and maple syrup (or honey), then blend on high until the mixture is perfectly smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Recipe: 2 cups of flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/4 cup of sweet potato puree 4 tablespoons of melted butter 1/3-1/2 cup grated cheese Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. You can add any spices you might want! I toss mine in melted butter + garlic + parsley flakes for added flavor but not necessary! You can also just toss in melted butter + salt for kids who might not want the green bits 🌿

  3. Our journey ! Lonzo used to really struggle with dogs rushing in to his space. If it was a male dog his go to choice was aggression. Initially it really stopped us doing anything. But then I made a promise that we would work through it and I would give Lonzo the life he deserved. After much work on myself, becoming a better dog handler, advancing my training knowledge as well as working on Lonzo we got to where we are now! But I think it’s important to remember these more challenging parts of the journey and to share them too. Too many people only share the best bits which can make you feel quite isolated if you’re helping your dog work through something. The first clip is hard for me to watch. So many things I have learned since then. So many things Lonzo has learned since then! As you can see by the end of the video. We still have down days. They get less and less. Keep going. #dogtraining #reactivedog #dog
