  2. Hatching Baby Chicks 🐣 Hatching your own chicks is so much fun and a great thing to do with kids. Most hatcheries like @mypetchickenofficial and @metzerfarms sell hatching eggs. It takes 22 days for chicken eggs to hatch! We have the Nurture Right 360 from @tractorsupply Here some tips if setting up an incubator: 1. Inspect and wipe down your incubator with a damp cloth. 2. Read the manual! Front to back! 3. Place the incubator in a draft-free area with a consistent room temperature between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and not in direct sunlight. 4. Plug in the incubator and make sure everything works. Check the egg rotator, canceling light and temperature settings. Most devices have an automatic count down timer of 21 days that starts as soon as you plug it. If you aren’t ready to start incubating your eggs, just make sure to unplug it and start it again when ready. 5. Check your egg placement and count. I like to do a dry run and place all my eggs in each spot to make sure they fit and do once rotation of the egg turner to make sure they roll fine. If the eggs cannot turn they may not develop correctly. 6. Now you are ready to start incubation. With the incubator empty (no eggs inside) plug the device in and set the temperature to 99.5F and the humidity to 50-55% (these may be automatically programmed as default settings). 7. Add water to channel A, leaving channel B closed. Open the vent half way. Let the incubator run for 1-2 hours to come to temperature. 8. Remove the lid, leaving the device plugged in, snd arrange the eggs in the slots pointy side inward. Place the lid back on. 9. Monitor and add water to channel A as needed making sure the temperature and humidity stay constant. This is an old video from last year, but I wanted to share this whole process from start to finish in case you wanted to hatch your own chickens! Now the count down is on! Make sure to check back, around day 7 we are going to candle them to see how they are developing! #babychicks #hatchling #backyardchickens #eggs #chickensofinstagram

  1. This Greek Lemon Chicken with Potatoes is a beloved dish in nearly every Greek household. It’s a true representation of comforting, homemade food—easy to prepare, full of flavor, and bursting with Mediterranean aromas. What makes this dish so special is its simplicity. With just a handful of ingredients, it delivers a meal that’s hearty, satisfying, and incredibly easy to prepare. Trust me, once you try this recipe, it will quickly become your go-to meal. Whether you’re cooking for your family, hosting friends, or meal-prepping for the week, this dish will never fail to impress. Pair it with a Greek salad or some crusty bread to soak up the juices, and you’ve got yourself a true taste of Greece right at home. Greek Lemon Chicken with Potatoes Ingredients: • 1 whole chicken cut into 8 pieces (with bones and skin) • 2 pounds (1 kg) potatoes, peeled and cut lengthwise into quarters • 1/4 cup (60 ml) water For the sauce (mix in a jar): • 1/3 cup (100 ml) extra virgin olive oil • Juice of 2.5 lemons • 4-5 garlic cloves, chopped • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard • 1 tbsp oregano • Salt, to taste Instructions: • Preheat your oven to 180°C (380°F). • Place the potatoes in a baking pan. Add salt and pepper to taste. • Add the chicken pieces on top of the potatoes. Drizzle the sauce from the jar evenly over the chicken and potatoes. Add the 60 ml water to the jar, swirl to collect the remaining sauce, and pour it along the side of the pan. • Sprinkle the chicken with some black pepper. • Cover the pan with a lid or parchment paper and aluminum foil. Bake at 380 Fahrenheit (180 Celsius) for 1 hour and 20 minutes. • Remove the cover and bake for an additional 40-45 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and the skin is crispy. • During this time, baste the chicken with the juices from the pan 3-4 times to keep it moist and flavorful. • Serve warm and enjoy with a glass of @gratsiwine white wine! Perfect with a simple salad or fresh bread to soak up the delicious sauce. #greeklemonchickenandpotatoes #lemonchicken #greekcuisine🇬🇷

  3. The Famous Greek Tzatziki Recipe 🇬🇷 No Greek table is complete without this creamy, garlicky, and refreshing dip! Whether you’re serving it with warm pita, grilled meats, or simply as a snack, tzatziki brings a taste of the Mediterranean to every bite. Here’s the authentic way to make it: 🥒 Ingredients • 3 small cucumbers or 1 very large cucumber, grated and well strained • 1 ⅔ cups (400g) strained Greek yogurt • 2–3 garlic cloves, finely grated • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar • Salt & pepper to taste Instructions Grate the cucumber using the coarse side of a grater. Place it in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out as much liquid as possible. This step keeps your tzatziki thick and creamy. In a mixing bowl, combine the strained cucumber, Greek yogurt, grated garlic, dill, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Gently mix everything together until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld (optional but recommended). Before serving, drizzle with a little extra virgin olive oil and serve with Kalamata olives on the side. Serving Ideas Enjoy tzatziki with warm pita bread, alongside grilled souvlaki, roasted vegetables, or as a dip on a mezze platter. Authentic, simple, and full of flavor — this is the tzatziki recipe you’ll keep coming back to! #tzatziki #tzatzikirecipe #greekcuisine🇬🇷 #greekrecipes #mediterraneandiet
