I underestimated the terrain, intentionally testing my limits and learned exactly where they are. Wet mud + low clearance + FWD is a quick way to get stuck. Lesson learned, and hopefully this helps someone else avoid the same situation. Leaving designated routes can damage the forest and surrounding habitat which in turn creates road closures.   2. If you saw last week's video, this will look very familiar. The back story is that @sageindendi had just released a permit not 5 minutes earlier. After she released it, I got on the deck and striped off 80ft or so of fly line. Then I looked at the fly and noticed the eyes were missing. After quickly finding and tying on a new fly, I looked up and saw a fish feed not 50ft away. With no time to spare, I cast 5ft infront of the fish, and he raced over to the fly and devoured it . On the cast, I knew my fly line was in a pile because I hadn't had time to stack and straighten it out, so I wasn't sure if it the knot would come out or go through the guides. As the line picked up, I loosened the bottom ferrule to hedge my bets. Sure enough, the line wasn't going to clear, so I threw the top of the rod in the water. After the first run, we were able to get the top of the rod back and the knot undone. A hookup that could have ended in disaster was narrowly avoided. Moral of the story.   3. And I wasn't really homeschooled either...my brothers and I were just like, unschooled. Don't get me wrong, my parents were very involved and caring, we just did absolutely no sort of formal education. I had a great childhood. I spent all day running around our 100 acre playground, I had dogs and cats and horses and all the freedom I could want. We went on lots of outings and stuff with our parents. We went to places like museums and libraries, or anywhere my mother thought would be cool, always on weekdays so we'd have the place to ourselves. Sometimes we would drive by a school on our way to do something fun, and my mother would point out the window and go "hey look at all those kids in a cage."
