  1. There was a moment in my life where I truly did not know how I would survive the pain. After 3 years of infertility, endless prayers, tears, disappointment, and waiting… God finally gave us our miracle. Our sweet Aria. And then at just 6 weeks old, our world shattered when she suffered a spontaneous brain bleed. Five days later, she was declared brain dead. I can still remember the hospital room. The machines. The prayers. The millions of people around the world believing with us for a miracle healing. We prayed boldly. We believed wholeheartedly that God would save her. And when He didn’t answer the way we hoped, I was left with grief so deep it felt impossible to breathe through. There were days I felt completely broken. Days where hopelessness tried to consume me. Days where the enemy whispered lies that God had abandoned me, forgotten me, or failed me. I didn’t just mourn my daughter… I mourned the future I thought we would have with her. But somehow, in the darkest valley of my life, God met me there. Not with condemnation. Not with anger. But with a love so deep and so personal that it carried me when I could not carry myself. He rescued me from depression that once felt suffocating. He stayed beside me in the middle of panic attacks, tears, numbness, and questions I couldn’t answer. I used to know about God. But through this pain… I came to KNOW Him. Like Job said, “My ears had heard of You, but now my eyes have seen You.” I have seen Him as my healer. My comforter. My peace in chaos. The One who sits with the grieving. The One who restores what feels impossible to restore. Losing Aria will always hurt. There will always be a part of me that longs for one more moment with her. But grief no longer has the final word over my life. Hopelessness no longer owns me. Jesus does. And if you are in a season where your heart feels shattered, please know this: God is still near to the brokenhearted. Even in the silence. Even in the waiting. Even in the pain that makes no sense. He truly does bring beauty from ashes. And I am living proof that He can heal even the deepest wounds. 🤍

  3. After years of waiting, grieving, questioning, and holding onto faith by a thread… our miracle is finally here. 🤍✨ It took us 3 years to get pregnant with our daughter Aria, and losing her changed me in ways I can’t fully put into words. After that came more heartbreak—three chemical pregnancies, and watching others around me receive what I was still praying for. I cried out to God so many times… asking why us? why not yet? But during our church fast in January, the Lord spoke so clearly—through multiple people—“your miracle is around the corner. Don’t give up.” In that moment, something shifted in me. I fully surrendered. No timelines, no striving, just trust. And the very next month… we got pregnant. 🕊️ The most beautiful, redeeming detail? This baby is due the same week as Aria’s due date. Only God. Yahweh Goel — The Lord, My Redeemer. He didn’t replace her. He didn’t erase the pain. He is redeeming every part of our story. This season was long and painful. There were moments I truly believed I would never feel joy again. But God was working—softening my heart, revealing who He is in ways I had never known before. I know there is fruit coming from this. I can feel it. 🌿 If you’re in a waiting season, if your prayers feel unanswered, if your story doesn’t make sense… please don’t give up on Jesus. He has not forgotten you. This is your moment to trust Him deeply. To surrender fully. To worship Him with your most costly oil. Keep fighting the good fight. Stay faithful. You will see the goodness of God. 🤍

  3. I don’t want Ozempic. I don’t secretly want to lose weight. I’m going to stop saying I believe that body diversity is real because it’s like saying I believe water is wet. It’s not a belief. It’s a fact. I’m diet culture’s worst nightmare. I’m a fat person who not only doesn’t hate their body, but is actually grateful for the experience of living in a fat body. I like the way I look, the way I feel, the way I move. I’m team #StayFat. My body is not a temporary mistake away from thinness. I don’t need to change. Anti-fat bias is what needs to change. For so many reasons, it’s been really scary to see so much weight loss happen so quickly all around me because of drugs like Ozempic. As a person who started dieting at age 9 and getting prescribed weight loss drugs at 15, I know what happens when these drugs are discontinued or made otherwise inaccessible. You gain it all back and more which is often far more dangerous to the body than just staying fat. Not to mention all of the known and unknown side effects of these medications. The success rate of long-term weight loss is less than 5%. I’ve read studies that say it’s less than 2%. I’m all for magical thinking, but this fantasy is deeply harming us, individually and culturally, and making the worst people rich. I have and always will be someone who wants so much more than to survive the status quo. This post is NOT about maligning folks who take drugs like Ozempic for their diabetes or anyone who engages with weight loss in any way. It is *normal* to want to lose weight as a means of surviving the anti-fat bias we experience every day. I’m choosing something else, but I am not better than anyone for it and I am #YourBodyYourChoice even when it comes to weight loss. I experience whiteness, health privilege, able-body privilege and body shape privilege—tho my body is changing with age! Without these privileges, it’s very likely I’d feel differently and I will keep doing my best to own the entirety of this. Feel free to share 🌱✨ ————————— Photo inspo came directly from the incredible fat activist, @virgietovar. #LoseHateNotWeight #FatAndOutdoorsy #MyBodyTookMeHere #FatAndFree #FatGirlsTraveling

  1. @jojo.pdx ⭐️ We’ve been to the Jojo food truck lots of times, but first time visit at their newish brick and mortar. Not much to say about Jojo that hasn’t already been said. The food is legendary. Their fried chicken and burger game is insane! The pepper relish they use on some of their sandwiches is phenomenal, I think about it too much. One of our favorite places to eat, they literally never miss 😊 Eats ⬇️⬇️⬇️ *mr. onion cheeseburger* 1/4 Ib beef, alabama white mustard sauce, Tillamook cheddar cheese, caramelized onion, white onion, fried shallots, chives, pickles, butter roll *spicy fried chicken sandwich* pepper relish, Crystal honey, alabama white mustard sauce, white onion, pickles, butter roll *cruncher salad* chopped iceberg, coleslaw, house ranch, shredded Tillamook cheddar, fried shallots, chives, tomato, cracked black pepper, house croutons, added chicken thigh *fried brussels sprouts* crystal honey, abw sauce, fried shallots, chives *Jojo’s (regular)* Thank you so much for having us Jojo ✌️ ⭐️ Jojo ⭐️ 902 NW 13th Ave Portland, OR 97209 Best burger PDX • Best sandwiches Portland Oregon • Best fired chicken sandwich PDX • Best restaurant Portland Oregon #jojo #jojopdx #pdxburgers #bestburgerpdx #pdxfriedchicken #bestfriedchicken #friedchickensandwich #friedchickenpdx #pepperrelish #bestrestaurantpdx #besteatspdx #bestfoodportland #dishedportland #thisisportland #eatlocalpdx #supportlocalpdx #cheatmealsaturday #baconburger #eaterpdxeats #eaterpdx #pomomagazine #explorepdx #foodporn #foodpornpdx #burgerporn #foodreels #pdxfoodie #foodielife #foodislife #pdxfoodporn

  2. @wildchildpizza ⭐️ Really fun Detroit style pizza spot on Alberta. We tried every pizza shown in the reel and we loved all of it. My favorite was their Harissa pizza. Topped with butternut squash and rose harissa 🔥 Sandy’s favorite was the supreme pizza. Absolutely loaded with toppings, (like 10 or 11 different toppings), it was crazy good. Their dough is made fresh daily creating this amazing airy, crispy, buttery and cheesy crust. Its a level of dankness you need to go experience for yourself. House made marinara, along with their house made dressings were bold and delicious. The house made ranch and green goddess were fire 😋 Slices and whole pies start at 3pm daily and made to order. This place is really really good, hit em up 🔥 It was a pleasure to meet you Nick, Nate, and Emily. I wish y’all the very best and we can’t wait to come see you again! Best of luck 😊 ✌️ Pizza ⬇️⬇️⬇️ *Pepperoni* pepperoni, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan *Supreme* bell peppers, olives, mushrooms. red onion, soppressata, pepperoni, italian sausage, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan *BBQ Chicken* house marinated pulled chicken, house made BBQ sauce, roasted red onions, bbq drizzle, green onion, mozzarella *Harissa* butternut squash, rose harissa, kale, leeks, mozzarella *Cheese* mozzarella, marinara, parmesan Pizza places in PDX • Detroit style pizza in Portland Oregon • Pizza by the slice PDX • Things to do in PDX #pdxpizza #pizzapdx #bestpizzapdx #pizzalover #pizzaaddict #pizzaporn #pizzareel #pepperonipizza #harissapizza #bbqchickenpizza #detroitstylepizza #besteatspdx #foodporn #foodpornpdx #thisisportland #eaterpdxeats #eaterpdx #pomomagazine #dishedportland #supportlocalpdx #eatlocalpdx #eatlocalpizza #cheatmealday #bestpizzaintown #pizzaofinstagram #foodiepdx #pdxfoodie #wildchildpizza #newpizzapdx #newpizzaspot
