  2. Five years today I took my first steps on a 2,653 mile-long stretch of dirt that took me from Mexico to Canada… a stretch of dirt that changed my world. 

I tend to avoid looking back at photos, videos; 
visual timestamps so tactile I know when my eyes meet their shapes, I’ll be pulled back in—
back into a black hole of nostalgia; youth and joy and reckless abandon. 
 A timestamp so embedded in who I am, I avoid looking back because I know— 
I’ll never have an experience like it again… It’s sad. It’s beautiful. It’s growth. 
Hiking the PCT didn’t solve my problems. 
It didn’t give me clear direction.
Honestly, it complicated everything. Every aspect of my life. 
And for that, I’m most grateful. 
 It showed me what was possible. For myself, for my work, For my life. 

It turned out those crazy, beautiful, wild adventures

Getting there isn’t exactly casual. You hike up the mountain, get welcomed with drinks + a full charcuterie spread, can shower if you want (last chance before the domes)… and then it’s time to gear up. You’re provided with a harness, helmet and a personal guide to get you to your own private dome! And once you’re in… you’re in. No leaving until morning. But you have everything you need in the three story dome: food & water, a bathroom, cozy sheets and robes, a walkie talkie to communicate & insaaaane views of Fitz Roy in Patagonia! It’s a little scary & surreal but 100000% one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had.   2. everything we did in Patagonia in April👇🏻 Ok so, the biggest lesson we learned in Patagonia is: book as much time as you possibly can there because the weather is insane. It rained for 6 of our 9 days in El Chalten and we were afraid we weren’t going to see anything! Finally got a weather window and omgggg, it was amazing. Plus going in the fall means, less crowds, easier camping permits, colorful trees (the coolest trees) and slightly cheaper accommodations. In total we were there for about 22 days across the Chile and Argentina side from late March into early April! El Chaltén, Argentina: • Laguna de los Tres at sunrise • OVO Patagonia Via Ferrata Hotel (!!) @ovopatagonia • Laguna Cerro Torre (my favorite) • Laguna Capri • Camped at Poincenot Camp • El Chaltén sign • Sunrise 5 miles outside of town on the main road (rent a bike or grab a cab SO worth it) Puerto Natales, Chile • The cutest little town (also your gateway to the park) • Cold plunge in the Last Hope Fjord • Stay at a ranch: Estancia Peninsula • Took the bus from Puerto Natales to El Chalten Torres del Paine National Park, Chile: • Base of the Towers hike • Mirador Condor (best views) • Explora Hotel boardwalk • Ice hike on Grey Glacier • Do the W Trek (stay at Paine Refugio or Grey Sector) • The stretch between Grey & Paine = unreal • Ferry across Lago Grey Ferry across Lago Pehoé lmk if you have any questions! I’ve tested a lot of GPS cat trackers. Send this to that person you’re planning your adventures with this summer!🙌🏼⛰️🌅🏕️ 📍Peyto Lake Sunset or sunrise at Peyto Lake is a great way to avoid the crowds! One of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Canadian rockies and I had this spot pretty much to myself! Don’t forget to bring a flashlight or headland and your bear spray - there was a bear there just 5 minutes before I arrived! 📍Lake Louise Sunrise at Lake Louise is busy so if you are driving it is recommend to arrive before 6am or the lot may be full. Parking cost $36.75. The main shoreline area is usually crowded but if you keep walking along the shore, you can find a spot all to yourself. 📍Moraine Lake Cars are not allowed to park at the entrance so you will need to book a shuttle beforehand.   1. ‼️Details in caption ⤵️ The Eibsee is definitely one of my favorite lakes in Germany. I’ve been here several times in winter and in summer. This was the first time I took my bike with me. I didn’t have a clear plan, I just wanted to ride around and explore new paths. And this is how I ended up at Eibsee. 🏞️ I started the tour at the train station of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and rode upstream along the river „Loisach“. After about 10km the trail starts to get steeper. This is when I started to regret not having an e-bike. Highly recommended for this tour as the trail is really steep. The descent from the top of the mountain to the lake is really fun. I had a break and a short swim in the icy cold lake. During the golden hour in the evening I enjoyed the beautiful lights surrounded by mountains in the meadow. I ended the tour back at the train station in Garmisch. All in all about 40 kilometers and many beautiful views! 🚵🏼‍♀️ I really want to recommend going out without big plans sometimes. Just go with the flow and see where things take you. Recipe below 👇 Tip: I’ve made this recipe with all kinds of frozen fruits and every batch turns out delicious . For a richer, creamier ice cream like texture, include frozen bananas. If you want a lighter sorbet-style treat, simply skip the bananas. This one is so simple: 3 frozen peaches 🍑 1 frozen banana 🍌 1/3 cup of Greek yogurt 🍦 1/4-1/2 cup of maple syrup or honey 🍯 
Add the frozen fruit to the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until the fruit is finely chopped and starts to look crumbly. Add the yogurt and maple syrup (or honey), then blend on high until the mixture is perfectly smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Recipe: 2 cups of flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/4 cup of sweet potato puree 4 tablespoons of melted butter 1/3-1/2 cup grated cheese Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. You can add any spices you might want! I toss mine in melted butter + garlic + parsley flakes for added flavor but not necessary! You can also just toss in melted butter + salt for kids who might not want the green bits 🌿

  3. pov your friend @crownofcureope is the brave one… Yesterday we climbed Mount Olympus (highest mountain in Greece 🇬🇷).. We started in Prionia at 6:45 and made our way up to Scala (the first summit of Olympus) in just under 6 hours. Once at Scala, it was now time to push on to Mytikas (the highest summit of the mountain). The conditions weren’t favorable and the entire summit was in a cloud. I went as far as I felt safe before deciding I would sit back and watch her reach the top if she felt comfortable to do so. I did not think I’d be able to see anything but for just a moment, the clouds parted and I zoomed in on someone on the mountain and to my surprise it was her! She looked so tiny and I could just see her white helmet. She made it back over an hour later and said “I’m never doing that again” 😂 Kristen is summiting all of the high points of Europe (known as the Crown of Europe) and she is doing so to raise money for cancer research. She is so strong and brave and watching her do her thing is so incredible to see. We met last year in August on a trip with @whynotadventures_ in Albania, Northern Macedonia, Kosovo, and Montenegro and then decided to do Mount Rysy in Poland together in September. We both had our eyes on climbing Musala in Bulgaria and so she asked if I wanted to join to do both Musala and Olympus. This was such an epic 4 day adventure with a lot of 4:30am alarms and a lot of aches and pains 😅 I’m so proud of her resilience and strength and if you’d like to see the other high points she’s done and the ones to come follow along! @crownofcureope (she does Mont Blanc next week, so if you’ve done it recently please dm her bc I’m sure she has questions and needs some reassurance for one of the largest feats in her journey) . . #hikingadventures #outdooradventures #europetravel #solofemaletravel #hikingtrails

Mintha a hegyek őriznék az első találkozásaink emlékét – azt a pillanatot, amikor először megpillantottam a hóval borított csúcsokat, és tudtam, hogy egy darabom örökre itt marad. Most újra érzem a szél hidegét az arcomon, hallom a gleccser ropogását a távolban, és minden lépéssel közelebb kerülök ahhoz a belső csendhez, amit csak ezek a hegyek tudnak adni. Itt nincs rohanás, nincs zaj, csak az időtlenség, amely emlékeztet arra, mennyire apró vagyok – és mégis mennyire élő. Jó újra itt. Már csak azért is ilyen erős ez az érzés, mert az összes körülöttem levő hegyet ismerem, sok napot koptattam a bakancsaim a környező ösvényeken. A Rakaposi különleges helyet foglal el a szívemben. Annyira elegáns, vad és mégis zöldellő dombok ölelik körül amik lombhullatói kezdenek gyönyörű arany színben tündökölni. 🇬🇧: There is an inexplicable magic in walking the trails of the Karakoram again. As if the mountains themselves were guarding the memory of our first encounter – that moment when I first laid eyes on the snow-covered peaks and knew that a part of me would remain here forever. Now I feel the cold wind on my face again, hear the distant crunch of the glacier, and with every step I draw closer to that inner silence only these mountains can give. Here there is no rush, no noise – only timelessness, reminding me how small I am, and yet how deeply alive. It feels so good to be back.
