  1. This is Kach. It’s Women’s Month. 🇵🇭✨ I’ve been enjoying doing research online for myself (and sharing it with you). Did you know there are Philippine laws specifically protecting us Filipinas? Save this - in case you ever need to report someone 👇 To my lawyer friends and legal experts - I would genuinely appreciate your insights. Please verify my research, correct anything I may have missed, and share additional protections more Filipinas should know. I am fully in my learning era. 1️⃣ Catcalled, groped, harassed in public or online? Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313) - Bawal Bastos Law. Yes - bastos behavior is a crime. ✔ Criminal charges can be filed ✔ Even bystanders can report 📍 Barangay VAW Desk or PNP WCPD (Cybercrime Unit for online cases) 2️⃣ Physically, sexually, psychologically, OR financially abused by your partner? Anti-VAWC Law (RA 9262). ✔ Free Barangay Protection Order within 24 hours ✔ Protection orders from court ✔ 10 days paid VAWC leave 📍 Start at the Barangay VAW Desk 3️⃣ Giving birth? Expanded Maternity Leave Law (RA 11210). ✔ 105 days FULL paid leave ✔ +15 days if solo parent 📍 Employer + SSS 4️⃣ Solo parent? Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act (RA 11861). ✔ 7 days paid leave ✔ 10% discount + VAT exemption ✔ ₱1,000 monthly subsidy (if qualified) 📍 Apply for Solo Parent ID at LSWDO 5️⃣ Undergoing gynecological surgery? Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710). ✔ Up to 2 months paid leave (if eligible) 6️⃣ Married but want your maiden name back? Philippine Passport Act (RA 11983). ✔ No annulment needed - renew at DFA Follow me @kach.umandap and @2monkeystravel as I share more travel tips and real immigration insights as a Filipina digital nomad who has visited every country in the world on a Philippine passport. - Research disclaimer: I cross-referenced this using Google Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude. 2. This is Kach Umandap. To all Filipina women - married, formerly married, legally separated but not yet annulled, or divorced abroad but not yet recognized in the Philippines: Have you heard about the “New Philippine Passport Act” — Republic Act No. 11983, signed on March 11, 2024? 🇵🇭✈️ (update Feb 25,2026: Check my recent IG post for the Step by step guide DIY) Under the Republic Act No. 11983, you may revert to your maiden name — even without annulment documents — ONCE in your lifetime. Yes. Even if you are still legally married. This law allows married women to exercise a one-time reversal to their maiden name for passport purposes, subject to documentary requirements and sworn declarations. No court annulment decree is required to initiate the process. Here’s the strategic move: 1️⃣ Start with your passport at DFA. Your passport is your primary identity document. Once it reflects your maiden name, everything else can follow: – Driver’s license – Bank accounts (BDO, BPI, Metrobank, etc.) – Visa applications – Government IDs – Financial and travel records There are notarized affidavits and PSA documents to submit. The requirements must be handled correctly — because the one-time reversal rule is strict. I personally went through the entire process: ✔️ DFA passport change ✔️ Driver’s license update ✔️ Bank account name changes ✔️ Visa application alignment ✔️ Other legal and financial records I did it myself — and I can guide you step by step, including drafting your letters and preparing your documents properly. It’s time to reclaim your life back by going back to your maiden name. You only get one legal reversal under this law. Make it count. Follow me @kach.umandap and @2monkeystravel as I share more travel tips and real immigration insights as a Filipina digital nomad who has visited every country in the world on a Philippine passport. 🌍✈️ —— P.S. 👉 Visit: https://www.travelwithkach.com/ 📩 Email: kach@filipinopassport.com 📲 DM me @kach.umandap or @2monkeystravel I did it. And I can help you.💋 #PhilippinePassport #annulmentph #Filipina
