  2. Putting hands on this buck was a humbling moment as it is the largest typical framed mule deer I’ve seen on the hoof. Locating him was unforeseen as I only had two spots left to check off my extensive summer scouting list. He quickly became a top priority and consumed my thoughts, time and energy. After observing the buck a number of times, I noted his habits and the loop he would make. Having only 1 week to hunt (before leaving states) I questioned if he would give me an opportunity but he in fact did. Solo, general season archery on my home mountains.
