  3. Living vegan isn’t necessarily about loving animals. Living vegan is about respecting animals’ sentience and their right to a life free of suffering. If you put yourself in the position of the animals, and someone was objectifying you, how fast would you want the injustice to end? Would you accept them saying “this is just how I was raised, I can’t stop”? If the answers were “right now” and “no”. Then you are already vegan in your heart. The next step is to make the choice and buy vegan products from now on. You have the choice every day to not pay for the suffering of an innocent animal. You have the power to make a positive impact on the world and on the lives of others. Go vegan. 2. Battersea Park 10K Today was a hot one but I ran with a cool head. I hardly check my watch when I am racing but today was different. I was on pace duty and wanted to get it right. Mission was accomplished and it was a fun morning of running. It's been a much quieter event year than usual but I am blessed to have been busy in different ways and I am grateful for opportunities to grow. RunFit Tour 2026 👇🏾 ✅️ Barbados Ultra Run 100k + 🇧🇧 ✅️ Paris Marathon 🇫🇷 ✅️ Race for Life @crukraceforlife 🇬🇧 ✅️ Battersea Park 10k @runthroughuk 🇬🇧 ⏳️ Royal Parks Half Marathon @royalparkshalf 🇬🇧 🙏🏾 @marathonnicecannes🇫🇷 Hope you're having a great weekend. #BeSmartGetFit #runfittour2026 #running #pacing Pace Duties Completed Today we ran the @runthroughuk Battersea Park 10k. It was hot but we kept a cool head. @adamwoodyatt said he wanted to go sub 55 minutes and I am proud to say I paced him to a chip time of 54:10 minutes. He started fast, ran hard, dug deep and held on. When ran the @crukraceforlife Hyde Park 10k 2 weeks ago his chip time was 59:23. He's been putting in the work, clocking up decent miles and it's showing. #pacer #pacing #running #runthrough Connecting with community One of the main things I enjoy about running in London is the opportunity to meet new and catch up. It was great to @keep.it.movin.k.i.m.tv @lizaruns_758 @52weekslaterskipsandruns @oliviawaller238 @fitness_queenab @lauras5yearrunningchallenge @chiara_stairs.run.yoga @vanessalcommodore The course was busy but the organisation was great with good signage, marshalls and hydration on course. Shout out @lipstick.and.trainers for the opportunity 🙌🏾 #besmartgetfit #runthroughuk #batterseapark

  2. Creatine 💪🏽⚡️👨🏽‍🔬 Had a lot of people asking me if they should take creatine and I will likely do a separate post for that. But I’ve equally had people ask me if they should increase their daily intake from the recommended 5g/day to 15g-20g/day, 3-4x the usual amount. Why, you ask? Creatine has been heralded as a great supplement for muscle hypertrophy and strength performance for the past 2 decades. [PMID:17908288] In recent years there has been interest in the potential benefits on both bone and brain health 🧠 From a muscle perspective there are two popular dosing protocols which appear to work for most people. Either: - Loading phase of 20-30g for 7 days followed by a maintenance phase of 3-5g thereafter - Skip loading, take 3-5g daily until muscle stores are saturated [PMID:17908288] Less is known about the optimal creatine supplementation protocol for improving bone structure and brain function. The few studies which have looked at this have used higher doses between 8g and 30g per day and there’s been a wide range of differences in both the uptake of creatine into the brain as well as the downstream effects on cognitive function including memory, executive function, attention and processing speed. But on the whole things look positive [PMID:39070254] More studies need to be done to establish the role creatine supplementation could have on brain health. Bottom line: If you supplement creatine for muscle health you’ve got plenty of research backing you up, either load 20g per day for 7 days and then 3-5g daily thereafter or go for 5g daily outright. Combine with resistance training for the muscle and bone benefits. If you want to take higher doses for brain health then 15-30g seems to be the dose but there is not enough robust long term data. You may also potentially experience GI issues at higher doses. Those with health issues should speak to their doctor before starting. Use creatine monohydrate, everything else is just fancy marketing. Pretty much all creatine supplements are vegan but always read the label. #Creatine #Supplement #Muscle #Bone #Brain #Health #Fitness

  3. 👉 Some people don't track their progress seriously. That totally works... For people who don't take their results seriously. . Especially when you are trying to lose fat, build muscle, enhance performance naturally. We can't leave progress variables up to chance. . I get a lot of questions on that, for almost every single day. I counter back with a question. Generally, how is your eating like? What is your program looking like right now? Etc.. . You see, when I present such questions, as many other coaches would too. I am collecting data. The more data I have, more confidently I can conclude that you aren't eating enough, or you are eating too much, you are pushing too hard or might need some tweaks or periodization here and there in your program. . And when I get a response such as, "I don't track my portions", "I just cut carbs out", "I just followed whatever my gym partner is doing". I am basically hearing... . "I don't track anything, I have no recorded past experiences on that, I have no info for you. Now fix me." 😐 . For scientific papers to have 3 subjects vs 1500 subjects, 10 day vs 100 day readings. More data leads to stronger convictions which are then systematically reviewed. The more you keep track of variables, the more you know what works for you and what don't. Plus you can always go back and review what you did in the past. . Off the top of your head, can you recall EXACTLY what you ate for the past 14 days? I don't think so. This is why tracking is highly recommended in my book. For general population, tracking food portions and keeping a flexible program is nice. For Olympians, every single aspect of training and nutrition count towards their goal. . And if you haven't been doing that then its never too late to start now. . You can start with the easy things like weekly weigh ins, or scheduled tape measurements, track your workout volume, even without calorie counting, recording what you generally eat can help. Trust me, little things like this goes a long way. . This photo is taken exactly 2 weeks ago thanks to 📸@syamilirsyad_ . After 3 hard sets of bench pressing to 12 rep maxes. (Which is hard as fuck since Im not a good presser).
