  3. wish i knew earlier… 👇🏻 Ever been handed the wine list and suddenly you’re the “wine person” at the table? Here’s exactly what you can say to look like you know what you’re doing - even if you don’t. 1. Start with the style. Give the sommelier a clear direction: “I’m in the mood for something crisp and bright,” or “I’m after something a bit fuller with more texture.” 2. Offer one reference point. If you usually love Burgundy Chardonnay and it’s not on the list, try: “I typically like a Chardonnay with white-peach notes, good tension, and subtle oak. What would you recommend that’s in a similar style?” 3. Set a price guide naturally. When I’m out with the girls, I’ll say: “I’m looking for something approachable around the $X range - what would you suggest?” 4. Explore the under-the-radar regions. Sicily, Portugal, Austria, and the Languedoc often offer incredible quality at friendlier prices - these sections are usually where the gems are hidden. 5. Read the description before you commit. Check the region, grape, and producer, then ask one quick clarifying question: “Is this more on the zesty/bright side or the rounder/richer side?” That ten-second check saves you from picking something completely different from what you had in mind. Save this and you’ll look calm, intentional, and completely in control when that wine list lands in your hands. . . . . . #wineconfidence #wineeducation #winetips #sommlife #winelistguide #winecontent #burgundy #diningguide

  2. 🎬 Book Feature 🎬 Everything’s Clming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh Publisher: Thomas Nelson Pub Date: June 10, 2025 Thank you so much @tlcbooktours for the #gifted copy and for including me on the tour! I’m so excited to read this one soon! 🩷 About: Rosie Waterman has one dream: to become a working actor. But lately, that hasn’t been working out. When she loses her apartment and her job on the same day, she does what she always does–puts herself out there, ready to find the next big thing. But a trip home makes her realize that while she’s been struggling to make this dream come true, all her friends have become real adults with careers and weddings and babies on the way. Rosie’s been at this for years, and she has nothing to show for it. But how does she simply let go of her dream? When she’s offered a job as the director of a regional theatre’s production of Cinderella, she jumps at the chance–even though she’s only directed in college and the job is in Door County, Wisconsin, and not in New York. She has no other offers, and at least she’ll be getting paid to do something theatrical. But when she arrives, she quickly realizes that the “regional theatre” is actually in a retirement community, and the “actors” are actually senior citizens with no acting experience whatsoever. Working on the show presents new challenges, forcing Rosie to learn how to step up and be the leader this fledgling theatre troupe needs. The more time she spends with her new cast, the more she begins to rethink what it means to dream big, especially when that big dream hasn’t turned out to be at all what she thought it would be. It’s not at all what she expected, but could it be exactly what she needs? Predictive Text: Everything’s coming up …. QOTD: Do you enjoy live theatre/musical productions? #EverythingsComingUpRosie #CourtneyWalsh #ChristianFiction #WomensFiction

  3. ⚒️ Book Review ⚒️ Thank you so much @getredprbooks for the #gifted copy and for including me on the tour! Found family has become a favorite trope for me and this book reminded me of why I love it so much. The deep bonds the friends share really touched my heart. I always enjoy New York settings and the historic brownstone at the heart of this story was fabulous. Each book in this series can be read as a stand alone but it’s worth the time to read and enjoy all three! About: Harper Ross has always dreamed of working on one of the magnificent brownstones of Park Avenue. Now one of her closest friends has bought the house of her dreams and hired Harper to do the construction work. She wants to showcase the renovation on a television show for her brand-new production company. It’s the same grand home she and her friends promised themselves they would be able to afford one day. Working on it isn’t the same as living in it, but it’s all a part of Harper’s grand plan to grow her father’s construction business into one of the biggest in the city. The only obstacle—the designer on the project. Reid Dorsey believes in the balance between beauty and functionality. As one of Manhattan’s new voices in design, he’s excited to get to work on a true Gilded Age property. If only the owner had selected a contractor he enjoyed working with. Oh, Harper was brilliant and her work was excellent, but she has an opinion on everything—and it’s usually the opposite of his. Over the course of the job, these enemies start to see different sides of each other, and suddenly their fights don’t seem so bad. But when the project is threatened, they might have to choose between their jobs and the beautifully designed future they could share. QOTD: Do you watch home improvement/renovation shows or videos? Are you good at DIY projects? #BuilttoLast #LexiBlake #getredpr #TheParkAvenuePromiseSeries

  3. Couldn't be happier that @lgdmtl is back and bigger than ever (sold out en plus)! . What a very, very long 2yrs it had been but the anticipation was everything and then some. Not gunna lie I was pretty overwhelmed walking in but then it was just like riding a bicycle . I'm truly honored to have engaged in 1 on 1 convos from the vineyards themselves talking about the future of sustainable wines and their ongoing commitment to practices in winegrowing . Portugal is already ahead of the mark; environmentally, socially and economically. We already know their grape diversity with over 250+ grape varietals which is ahead of the trend with their own sustainable programs for designations . I was lucky in 2019 to discover Portuguese wines @lgdmtl, followed by my trip to Portugal, and now again at #lgdmtl2022 which is always like learning a new language (mostly European Portuguese)  Here are my top 5: *Casa Ferreirinha, Quinta da Leda, Douro (🙋‍♀️ Obrigada Mathieu) Touriga Franca 41%, Touriga Nacional 34%, Tinto Cão 13%, Tinta Roriz 12% *Cabriz, Colheita Selecionada, Dão (🙋‍♀️ Obrigada Magnolia) Alfrocheiro Preto 40%, Tinta Roriz 40%, Touriga 20% *Borges, Duas Encostas, Branco, Dão (🙋‍♀️ Obrigada Ana) Malvasia Fina 45%, Encruzado 35%, Bical 15%, Fernão Pires 5% *Casa Santos Lima, Colossal, Lisboa (🙋‍♀️ Obrigada Francisco) Syrah 30%, Tinta Roriz 30%, Touriga Nacional 30%, Alicante Bouschet 10% *Sao Luis, Reserva Tinto, Douro (🙋‍♀️Obrigada João) Touriga Nacional 35%, Tinta Roriz 25%, Touriga Franca 25%, Tinto Cão 15% #wineenthusiastmtl #portugal #duoro #porto #touriganacional #redwine #winetasting #winesofinstagram
