  3. 1 year ago, I found out I had a femoral neck stress fracture and a labral tear in my hip. A day I’ll never forget and the feeling of my whole world flipping upside down. I was in the middle of training for my first marathon and just competed at Hyrox and was excited for what was ahead. After 3 weeks of pain and being misdiagnosed, I finally got the answer of my injury
and just like that, everything changed. The physical side was hard, but the mental side was even harder. Having something you love ripped away from you & watching all your hard work and goals disappear, feeling like your body let you down and having to start again from scratch was heartbreaking. There were so many moments of doubt, frustration, fear, lots of tears and wondering if I will ever feel like myself again. After lots of time to reflect, my journey has taught me so much. It taught me patience. It taught me that healing isn’t linear. It taught me to respect my body instead of just expecting it to keep going. And the biggest one, it taught me that strength is built in all the behind the scenes moments no one sees, the rehab, the rebuilding and celebrating the small wins. Now here I am, completing my first full hyrox sim and being 3 weeks out from my first solo Hyrox competition. After everything my body has been through and being where I am right now means more than I can put into words. The journey back has been far from perfect but I’m so proud of everything it took to get here. A year ago, I was heartbroken by what my body couldn’t do and now I’m proud of it for everything it has carried me through. A very different path than I expected, but one that has made me stronger in more ways than one. Thank you for reading if you got this far. I appreciate you đŸ«¶đŸœ #injuryrecovery #runningjourney #fitnessjourney #comebackseason roadtohyrox
