Welcome to Carne Links. Carne sits out on the Mullet Peninsula in Belmullet, Co. Mayo one of the most remote places you can play golf in Ireland. The landscape is wild, untouched, and shaped by the Atlantic winds long before any golfer ever set foot here. The original 18 holes now called The Hackett Course were designed by legendary Irish architect Eddie Hackett, and Carne is widely recognised as the final course he ever created. He walked the dunes by foot, followed the natural shapes of the land, and refused unnecessary earth-moving. The result is one of the most authentic links experiences in the country. Massive dunes. Blind shots. Natural fairways. Ocean views on almost every hole. Carne isn’t manufactured it’s discovered. Today the club features 27 holes, with the additional Kilmore Nine created later to complement Hackett’s original routing. Together, they form one of the most dramatic links landscapes anywhere in Ireland. And Belmullet? Pure class. Small town, big heart, brilliant pubs, unreal atmosphere.
