  3. Jamie Gill 🤍 it’s hard to believe we live in a time where Jamie is not with us anymore. His love of life and for @niamhcullenx felt bigger than life itself. We worked with Jamie in 98fm & then he came back into our lives when he and Niamh ran the NYC Half Marathon with us in 2023. They bounced into the airport, their energy infectious. Jamie was so proud that morning because Niamh was the Stellar Magazine cover star. We all made such a fuss of her, because she deserved every bit of it. Jamie and Niamh sat behind us on the plane, most of us sticking on our headphones and getting stuck into a movie, but not Jamie and Niamh. They laughed and chatted for the entire 7 1/2 hours over to NY. It was like a first date. They even won the airhostess over, who was definitely giving them VIP treatment and absolutely loved them🤣 Jamie smashed the half marathon, running it in 1hr 45 mins, not that he would ever tell you. Niamh stayed at the back with us, entertaining us all the entire way around the city. But this was the magic of J&N…At one point of the weekend, Niamh climbed up onto the bar and treated everyone in the pub to an Irish dance that I will never forget as long as I live. That was the night we were supposed to get an early night ahead of the race 🤣But those were the moments that you could see just how perfect they were for each other. Jamie would always look at Niamh in awe and he would always let her shine. He was always smiling at her. He let her be her true self, this is the greatest gift you could ever give someone. I’ve wanted to share this story for so long but never wanted to overstep the mark. There’s a lot of people who were a lot closer to Jamie than me, but Jamie made everyone he met feel special. Niamh and Jamie made that weekend for us. At their engagement party I was so blown away by Jamie’s family…. Continued in comments…

  1. The hardest thing I’ll ever share! Because yes I am embarrassed, sad and angry that I let myself get to this level of self hatred, sadness, anger and size! Totally abusing my body with food, constantly punishing myself for being unhealthy by being even worse!! It’s a vicious cycle and so many can resonate with that! Yes I took a different route for weight loss one which many don’t agree with, but it wasn’t for lack of trying it all, and mentally I just couldn’t do it any longer. So after alot of agonising over this decision I decided to do it! After some research and consultation with @getsliminturkey I finally changed my life! And it’s the best decision I have ever made! I’m so grateful for every single day and every day of feeling so much better. And I appreciate everything so much, I’ve always been blessed with what I have I just didn’t see it for a while! “Once you start appreciating life, that’s when you realise how much you truly have to live for” Whilst I always loved being active I now absolutely love it!! Yes I hiked mountains the size I was last year, I never gave up, I used to be 76 shades of purple in the face for gasping 🤣 but I never gave up, I am actually proud of that! But perhaps maybe trying to prove something to others, whereas now I’m only trying to prove things to myself! 🤍 This isn’t a post looking for compliments, this is a post to every single person who struggles with their weight/fitness/confidence that you can take control, you can change things for yourself. You’re worth putting the effort in, you’re worth the work, you’re worth keeping yourself healthy for a long time! “True wealth is having your health and knowledge of self” Benjamin Franklin #lifechanging #healthier #weightloss #buildingconfidence #gastricsleeve #bariatricsurgery #getsliminturkey #fitter #stronger #lovinglife #appreciation

  1. ✨Fool Proof Chocolate Delicious Biscuit Cake ✨ * 200g Real Butter * 150ml/¼pt Golden Syrup * 1 can condensed milk * 350g Dairy Milk Chocolate (most kids don’t like dark) * 300g Dairy Milk Caramel Bar * ½ packet of Digestive Biscuits, roughly crushed * ½ packet of Rich Tea Biscuits, roughly crushed * 1 large packet of Maltesers * 4 Crunchie Bars, chopped * 100g Mini Marshmallows * To decorate 100g Cadbury Dairy Milk, 100g Cadbury Caramel Bar, 3 packs Rolos, 1 bag of Maltesers, 1 chopped crunchy bar or you could use M&Ms/mini Curly Wurlies etc…your child’s favourite sweets Method 1. Line an 8-inch (23cm) round cake tin with two layers parchment paper. 2. In a saucepan on a low heat combine butter, milk chocolate, caramel bar and golden syrup. Stir to make sure all the ingredients are well mixed together. 3. When the chocolate mixture has fully melted add the condensed milk stirring slowly to combine evenly. 4. Add the crushed biscuits, Maltesers, crunchies, and mini marshmallows, stirring well to mix everything together. 5. Pour the chocolate and biscuit mixture into the prepared cake tin, pressing down gently to ensure it sets firmly. Transfer to the fridge and let it chill overnight. 6. Once set, remove from the fridge (make sure to do this a few hours before the party so it’s not too hard to cut). 7. Place the Dairy Milk Chocolate with the Caramel Bar in a large bowl over boiling water and melt. Pour over the top of the cake (the caramel will make this nice and thick and allow you to decorate better). 8. Decorate with sweets. 9. This can store in an airtight container for up to one week. 2. London Marathon, what a day! A PB IS A PB 😅🥳🎉🥂 2:50:34! (Even if it’s only 10 seconds) London you were INCREDIBLE! I’m gonna say it- my favourite major (I’ve done Berlin, NYC, Chicago and London), I thought nothing would ever top NYC but London blew me away!! Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Rainbow Road and Big Ben mile you were unreal 🙏🫶. And the finish up the mall 🤩🤩🤩. To run the marathon where the world record was broken is absolutely insane! I was lucky enough to catch Sebastian Sawe and Tigst Aseefa warm up before hand. And when the head started to drop a bit around mile 14 watching the incredible ladies like @eilishmccolgan and @roseharvey.run running on the opposite side of the double back, deep in the trenches running on their own made me cop the hell on. The elite women in London are unreal, they start before everyone else and run the entire course alone- that is next level 🤩 For the running geeks like myself, went through half way flying it but at around mile 16/17 my right hamstring was cramping and it was struggle bus to the end. Of course I’m grand now 🤪. See splits- huge shout out to @sports_tours_ireland @hasseyb and @wboyledub for the roars near the end as I was in the trenches and they really saw me through. And once again to @sports_tours_ireland for the entry, I’m forever greatful 🙏. The best, most supportive, sound, down to earth crew- legends, can’t wait for the after party tonight 🥳🍾 What a day, always chase your dreams, don’t ever think you’re not enough (hands up who’s on the wine 🤪🍷🙋‍♀️) Thanks so much for the support, love ye all, over n out 🫶#londonmarathon #marathongirl #london🇬🇧 #marathon

  3. The back yard ultra world championships 2023 Since the race has finished I’ve been trying to figure out what happened, yes I got to 74 hours and with how I was feeling I was so happy with that. I do question why I felt like that? How can I change it? It’s the want to learn so we are planning for 2025 already… I had qualified for this race from the race in Rettart Germany running 89 hours and being the assist… I have waited for bigs for 2 years as the last time I was meant to go we couldn’t get visas due to covid. We were all set to go, Annabelle was crewing for me back then too, she generously contacted me to see if I needed a crew. This time I wanted to give her first refusal on crewing,, she was delighted to do it. We spoke on the phone a few times on the lead up and we had the same mindset surrounding the race,, we are here for the long haul.. she promised to get me to the start line every hour, all I had to do was promise to come back before each hour,, Bigs dogs back yard is one of the most iconic places in the runners world, and meeting Laz himself for the first time he is kinda celebrity status among us runners 😁… The course is technical during the day (I didn’t realise how technical it would be) and an out and back on road (not flat at all) Everyone is allocated a spot in the big tent it looked like a graveyard with peoples names, we also had a shared tent with 1 other runner but we had our tent too,, more privacy and a quiet place to sleep when needed. The plan was Annabelle would sleep between laps, with a big sleep during the day so I could tend to myself for those couple of hours, this obviously didn’t go this way as she greeted me at the start/finish line every hour with out fail. It was amazing to have her there 🙏🏻🙌🏻 As the hours ticked by I felt good, I kept consistent my lap times were decent and I was getting some sleep,, food was going in but it was so hot and humid at times it was not digesting,, we tried to keep on top of salt intake too,, there is so much you need to be aware of with in this race, this is why the crew person is so important, they need to adjust on the fly or the race will end… Continued in comment section…
