  3. I honestly think breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I never joke with my breakfast. Because it sets the tone of the day for me. But somehow no meal stresses me like breakfast. Just the thought makes me wake up tired 😭. Because every morning it’s the same conversation with myself and sfyer ive exhausted the cycle of - Yam , Potatoes, sandwich , i finf myself back at bread and egg again. And for some reason bana son bresd and egg 😂😂. So that morning, I decided to switch things up. No light for me to just blend the batter, Nepa sunyi halin su so I had to whisk the batter by hand. I passed it through a sieve to remove the lumps because I wasn’t about to let them win. These crepes took me straight back to childhood. These were the pancakes I grew up eating before Mama perfected the actual fluffy ones we know now. They're soft, slightly sweet, with onions and pepper that make the whole kitchen smell like memories. I remember Maama used to make them on weekends, and somehow, everyone appeared in the kitchen before she even finished the first batch. Here’s my mix if you want to try it: 1½ cups plain flour 2 large eggs 1 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp powdered milk 1⅓ cup water chopped onions and pepper (plus honey or a cabbage filling if you want to be fancy 😋) These came out soft and golden. And because I hadn't made them in a while, it just reminded me that you don’t need new ingredients. You just need a new old idea. Dunno if that makes sense 😂. To ease the burden of thinking of what to cook when, I'm working in a meal plan with many of my quick and simple recipes. Gather up your coins. It's going to be super affordable in sha Allah! Now tell me, did you grow up eating these too? What's your breakfast option rotation like? Share!

  3. MBỌGHỌ or MBUGHU 🤎 Igbo nwere nri. This meal had my parents licking their fingers and begging me to make it again 😂 Mind you, this was my first attempt and I absolutely nailed it. It was so delicious and satisfying. One thing about Igbo dishes is that many of them are slowly fading away. Some of these meals were passed down from our grandparents and parents, but today, many young people have never even tasted them or heard their names before. That is one of the major reasons I create the kind of content I do. I genuinely love documenting our local Igbo dishes, not just because they are delicious, but because every meal carries a story, a tradition, and a part of our identity as Igbo people. When you look closely, you’ll realize our food culture is rich beyond imagination. From the ingredients we use, to the methods of preparation, to the stories behind each dish… everything is deeply rooted in family, community, and tradition. To make this meal, all you need is: • Ji Abana White • Ji Abana Red • Ji Abii • Red Pepper • MAGGI Seasoning • Salt • Palm Oil • Onions • Kpomo • Ugba/Ukpaka • Ogiri Igbo • Green Vegetables Meanwhile, your favourite native spices are still available 👇🏾 1.
