  2. My love for designing traditional Nigerian wedding outfits is deeply rooted in my quest for Africa’s complete liberation from her colonizers. As a wedding dress designer, I often see brides prioritize what they call their “white” wedding over their traditional marriage ceremony—and it breaks my heart. Because what we often forget is this: that “white” wedding is the Oyibo man’s own traditional marriage ceremony. This realization shaped the very foundation of the TUBO brand—merging the timeless elegance of African heritage with bold, innovative design.
