Are you grabbing any new releases this week? Or what’s your current read? There are several new books out this week that I’m excited for, including new releases from Melanie Harlow, April Asher, and Lynn Painter. Broken Dove is also one of my most-anticipated new releases, so I excited to receive an amazing PR package from Del Rey with a deluxe paperback edition of Silver Elite and a deluxe hardcover edition of Broken Dove. It also included an audiobook download of Broken Dove from Libro.fm, so I was planning to read it over the weekend. Unfortunately my memory is the worst, so I decided a reread of Silver Elite was necessary first. 🫣 I was SO glad I had a second listen of the audiobook because I forgot some major details. Yes, humble brag, but I do end up getting a LOT of books in the mail…whether they’re advanced reader copies (ARCs) or just books I pre-ordered (cut to me with 3 copies of THIS STORY MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE because of course I pre-ordered it months ago and forgot when I went to the bookstore this week), there’s no better feeling than coming home to a stack of book-shaped packages on the kitchen counter. Normally January and February seem like they last forever, but I feel like this year is flying by already! 𝙎𝙖𝙜𝙖 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 @danielleljensen I’m so excited to add these two to my shelves - @probablysmutbookclub came through with high quality, beautiful editions as always. I’ve read the first, 𝘈 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘐𝘯 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥, and loved it. I think I’ll do a reread/relisten and then jump into 𝘈 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘐𝘯 𝘉𝘰𝘯𝘦. 🎙️ The first is narrated by Nina Yndis and her voice is perfect for Freya. Nikolas Salmon joins her for the second and I can’t wait to listen. @ninayn

Have you finished any books yet this month? Or what’s your current read? I finished my sixth book of the month this morning, which isn’t a pace that I’ll likely continue with for the rest of the month. 🤣 Five of those were audiobooks, which is the only thing I’ve finished since I’ve been reading the same ebook for days and I’m not even halfway through. 🫣 I finally finished a review that was taking an eternity to write (as per usual), so next up I’m starting Ryder by Jessica Peterson. I also want to squeeze in a reread of Solver Elite so I can start Broken Dove. But there’s plenty more. 😂 Broken Dove by Dani Francis is another book I’ve been dying to read, which is why I was so excited to receive an early copy in the mail courtesy of Del Rey! This one isn’t out until May 12th, but I’ll be starting soon because I need to know what happens!
