Ad - Want to get better panning shots? Here are a few things that have helped me when shooting fast moving subjects like mountain bikers. -Start with a slower shutter speed. I usually shoot around 1/30–1/60 and adjust from there. The slower you go, the more motion blur you’ll get, but keep in mind it also gets harder to keep your subject sharp. - Use continuous autofocus and an f/4–6.3 aperture. Continuous autofocus helps keep the rider in focus as they move through the frame, while an f/4–6.3 aperture gives you enough depth of field to help keep the rider sharp while still separating them from the background. -Track your subject before you shoot. Start following the rider before they reach the spot you want to photograph and keep your movement smooth as they pass. -Keep your body moving w
