How I feel wearing this lingerie? Like a Ladybird 🐞 In Canada we call them ladybugs. When my daughter was five she started French Immersion and because the schoolyard was full of them, she and her little friends quickly learned the French word for ladybug - coccinelle. I think it’s safe to say that everyone knows someone affected by breast cancer either as a survivor or a family member or friend of someone who has. I lost a good friend to breast cancer many years ago. Her name was Karen and she shone her light so brightly that you needed sunglasses in her presence. Another dear friend of mine survived breast cancer and she’s been cancer free for a very long time. My aunt also survived breast cancer but lost her sister to it. It’s a brutal disease but there is good news. More awareness and better screening leads to early detection of the disease. That coupled with improved chemotherapy and radiation therapy means that 90% of those diagnosed early survive breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Until recently I’ve never worn lingerie. Never tried it on. Never really owned any, except for 2 lacy nightgowns I got for my wedding shower many moons ago. What’s your favourite colour to wear? For me it’s black. I originally started wearing a lot of black because of the ‘slimming’ effect. Now I wear it because it’s neutral, matches everything and it’s a good colour for almost any occasion. When it comes to lingerie, black seems to be the most popular colour.
