Sometimes books that don’t seem to be similar but end up having a common thread tying them together in my head. This week I read two books that both had the main characters returning back to old loves. 🛩️The Missed Connection Thank you to @grandcentralpub for the gifted ARC to review I really enjoy Williams’ books and so I was excited for this one, I think however this was my least favorite. There were elements of it that I really enjoyed (like the love butterfly effect) and the beginning drew me in quickly (which doesn’t often happen) but it felt a bit slow at times and I have an issue with clueless main characters. During parts of the story I was totally in it, but then I would lose interest so I am finding this one hard to rate. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫✨(3.75) Play it Again 🎭Thank you @thedialpress a

💐 The Someday Garden 💐 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Short synopsis: Sophie takes a temporary job fixing the grounds and gardens of Lilymoor House, when a door appears in a hedge maze. My thoughts: I wasn’t sure what to expect with this going in, other than I am obsessed with this gorgeous cover! I adore magical realism, and this one was done so well. Ashley is amazing at writing magical realism with heart, emotions, and a sweet romance. This at its heart this book is moving a tender experience of moving through grief, and friendship. I loved the friendship aspect of this, and Sophie’s relationship with her best friend. I listened to this on audio and Patti Murin did a fantastic job at bringing this story and the characters to life! Thank you @prhaudio for this audiobook, and @berkleyromance for a copy of th

Thank you to @PutnamBooks and @PRHAudio for the #gifted book and audiobook! #PutnamBooksPartner #PRHAudioPartner 🔪 Three Hitmen and a Baby by Rob Hart 🔪 Assassins Anonymous #3 🔪 Pub day: June 16, 2026 What a fun read! It’s high stakes, heartwarming, and highly entertaining! I haven’t read the first two in the series, but had no trouble jumping in here and getting to know these reformed assassins who have created a 12-step support group to help them move into a life of nonviolence. But trying to live a life of nonviolence is tough when the underworld won’t let you walk away. So what happens when the Russian mob threatens family members, and they get mistaken for kidnappers? This trio ends up in one mess after another trying to outwit the mob and outrun law enforcement, all with a sick to

📚🎧Advanced Book and Audio Review📚🎧 Pub Date June 16 Thank you to @prhaudio and @berkleyromance for the gifted ALC/ARC of #thesomedaygarden by @heyashposton to review 🐌After 10 years and still recovering from her best friend’s recent death, Sophie returns to Lilymoor House as the temporary head gardener. Lilymoor’s future is uncertain as the owner is stepping down and everyone is a bit on edge. However Sophie finds a special part of the garden which can only be accessed by a blue door - but strangely the door only shows itself right before dusk and is never in the same place. Trapped behind the blue door is an incredibly handsome man and the two try to find a way to set him free before it is too late. 🪷My Review🪷 I’ve loved almost all of Poston’s books because she mixes magical reali

Lachlan is a Scottish midfielder coming back to the team after a few years abroad, his wife refusing to come with him. SUMMER’S NEVER OVER by Darby Bozeman ♡Thank you @prhaudio for the gifted audiobook! #PRHAudioPartner ⇢ Audiobook Review 🌿What It’s About In this addictive dual-timeline debut novel, a woman confronts her past at the remote Southern summer camp where the tragic death of her fellow counselor may not have been an accident after all. 🌿My Thoughts ✨This was a fun, atmospheric suspense read with a great mix of secrets and lies, tragic events, a mystery to solve and a healthy dose of summer camp nostalgia thrown into the mix. ✨I did feel that the story dragged a bit in the middle, which pulled me out of the story at times, but overall I really enjoyed this one. 🎧The audiobook production with narration by Carlotta Brentan was just right, and I thought it was well done all around. 🌿Read if you

Well Helllooo Claire Darling!! 🫶Thank you so much @prhaudio #prhaudiopartner for my free audiobook!!! 🥰 I treated myself to the physical book and started out with that. I then jumped over to the audiobook which was fantastic! 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Our girl Claire has been ghosted. 👻 Yep.. bigggggg time!! Her fiancé has talked her into to paying for EVERYTHING because he is paying to build their dream home… that she has NEVER seen. 😳 Admittedly ALL the red flags 🚩 were there for Claire… but she chose not to see them. However.. I can’t blame her. I mean who would think someone would go through so much to deceive someone??? I had SO many questions!! Why Noah??? 😳🤷♀️ This ends up spiraling out of control and things go even more sideways for our girl Claire. 🫣 The pacing and reveals kept me glued

Thank you at @PRHAudio and @BerkleyPub for the #gifted audiobook! #PRHAudioPartner 📕 Somebody Worth Killing by Jessica Payne 📕 Pub day: June 16, 2026 This one grabbed me from the start. A darkly funny and very fun spin on a cat and mouse thriller! A suburban mom who is secretly an assassin. But, she has a strict code. She only kills truly evil bad guys. Nadia is a compelling character who will grow on you well before the end of the book. She’s a functional psychopath and contract killer, yet still a loving and involved mom. She is morally gray, sarcastic, and witty. She finds out her handler has “mommy tracked” her and sidelined her career with smaller, less exciting assignments because she has children. So, she requests a big target and finds out careful what you wish for. This was my f

Land (gifted from @aaknopf @prhaudio ) is an epic journey in so many ways. O’Farrell tells the history of Ireland, and particularly the Great Famine and its effects, through the lens of one family. I don’t know if I realized the extent of the suffering during this time: how children would suck on rocks because there was no food, entire families were wiped out. And even when the famine is officially done, its ripples reverberate through the land. The father Tomas is a mapmaker, which represents so much. Houses that no longer exist after the famine, the changing boundaries due to colonization, the old names that are wiped away. Tomas and his son Liam are at the heart of the novel, the push and pull between them. But we also have chapters from his wife and three other children, a

☀️ The Summer Girlfriend ☀️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Short synopsis: Noelle a bridesmaid for hire gets let go from her job, and runs into Jeremiah (grandson of the owner of Smith’s Sweets). He hires her to pretend to be his girlfriend for the summer for the benefit of his family. My thoughts: Let’s just take a minute for this gorgeous cover! Stunning! I have just adored all of Kristina’s past books, and this one was no different. Filled with swoon-worthy moments, flirty banter, and such a sweet slow burn. The chemistry between Noelle and Jeremiah felt so real, and I love that their relationship progressed organically and didn’t feel rushed. I loved the setting of Heart Beach, and can’t wait for the follow up stories in this new series! Read if you love: 💕 Fake Dating 🌊 Beach Setting 🔥 Slow Burn 🍪 Fami

And nothing will ever change that.’ She drops her voice. ‘No matter who you kill.’” If you enjoyed rooting for Dexter or found yourself sucked right in to Mr. & Mrs. Smith then you will devour this story. Now that I have your attention… Huge thank you to @prhaudio for the #gifted alc of Yesteryear by @caroclaireburke It only took the mini blurb of get me to listen to it: Natalie, a social media influencer with millions of followers, lives a seemingly perfect, traditional life. After a brutal injury, she wakes up in 1855, where her “rustic” life is a brutal reality of no electricity, running water, or internet. What a wild ride this was! I’d suggest if the blurb sounds good, go in blind. It’s described as dark comedy satire thriller. I don’t find it so much as funny as more shock value. One of those books you think you kinda know and realize you know nothing. ❓💬 would you survive if you were transported and had to live in the 1800’s? yesteryear book review | yesteryear novel | book review |

🎧 review 🎧 Thank you so much @bantambooks and @prhaudio #prhaudiopartner for my gifted copies of BACKSTABBERS by Eliza Jabore narrated by Brittany Pressley 9 hrs 15 mins out now This book doesn’t let the foot off the gas... like at all. This is incredibly entertaining, a non stop thrill ride. The depiction of female friendships in this one is truly riveting because it shows a portrayal that isn’t quite as idyllic, therefore a little more realistic, if I may say so. This is super messy and full of flawed characters, making poor choices and dealing with the effects. Three best friends, Jade, Stef, and Zoe all embark on a hike through Washington’s Bones Hollow Trail. They are not just braving the elements or the beasts that live in the wild, but something much worse. They have crossed the p
