A Memoir of Marriage. Vulnerable, chilling, transformative. Thank you so much to @tandemcollectiveglobal, @Thedialpress, @randomhouse, @PRHAudio for the gifted book and audiobook listen. #PRHAudioPartner This book is the perfect bookclub bookโ there is a lot to discuss and just chat about. I really enjoyed being a part of my first @tandemcollectiveglobal read along with this one. What the book is about: A Memoir of Marriage by Belle Burden is a recent, acclaimed memoir about the sudden collapse of her 20 year marriage during the COVID-19 pandemic, triggered by a voicemail revealing her husbandโs affair. This memoir is beautifully written it is both heartbreaking and uplifting. It is a story about a marriage falling apart and seeking answers to why and what happened when her husband abruptl

I rarely annotate books, but this one ended up covered in tabs because so much of it resonated with me. I finally picked up Strangers by @belleburden as part of a readalong with @tandemcollectiveglobal, and I can completely understand why so many women are calling this an important read. This hit differently for me because a lot of these lessons werenโt new. As a child of divorce and having lived through something similar, so much of this book felt painfully familiar. But I still think the core message of this book is such an important one, and Iโd highly recommend picking it up if you havenโt already. More than anything, this book made me angry. Angry at the way women are so often expected to carry the emotional weight of a family while men are allowed to walk away from lives built on the

CURRENTLY READING ๐ I am absolutely in love with this book right now ๐ญ Iโll Take the Fire โMia Daoud yearns to be free. Growing up in socially conservative Morocco, her imagination fired by her banker fatherโs charisma and political idealism, her doctor motherโs feminist example and social conscience, and the boundless possibilities suggested by her favorite authors, she learns to go after what she wants, even if it means jumping through fire to get it. Determined to be true to her sexuality and to differentiate herself from her adoring younger sister, she sets out in search of her place in the world, from Casablanca to Paris to London, and against the backdrop of era-defining events like the fall of the Berlin Wall and 9/11, guided by a preternatural sense of justice and an unerring ins

Thank you @randomhouse #randomhousepartner for sending me a copy of No Matter What by Cara Bastone, another highly anticipated read for me as I loved her previous two books. Sadly, for some reason, this one wasn't as good for me. It is about Roz, who is married to Vin. I know they have good chemistry and that they have been traumatized due to an accident along with Vin's brother Raff, but I don't really know what made Roz and Vin fall in love in the first place. When the two start communicating about their current issues, it leads to their physical reconnection, but again, I don't really feel their love for each other. The book is mainly told from Roz's viewpoint as she begins taking a drawing class and starts to heal her own trauma. There are brief interludes from Vin's viewpoint as well.

Adding Block Island to my travel bucket list for the summer!!! ๐โ๏ธ๐ In JUNE BABY by Shannon Garvey transported me straight to Block Island, just off the coast of Rhode Island. The descriptive setting of this book is so vivid, I could practically feel the salt air and hear the waves hitting the shore. This story takes place over one summer with flash backs to previous summers spent on Block Island. At its core this is a coming of age story of a girl named Ruth. Ruth is seventeen and has lost her mother to cancer. Her dad unable to handle her grieving sends her off to Block Island to find a lady named Diana to live with for the summer. What unfolds is a beautiful story that explores grief, love, family, and friendship. Grab this one for your summer beach reads. Thank you @thousandvoicesmed

Honey by Imani Thompson Thank you @randomhouse for the ARC! Pub Date: May 5, 2026 ๐นDescription: She just wants to know what justice feels like. Yrsa is bored: bored with her PhD program, her entitled students, and the never-ending pages of racial violence and feminist theory she has to read. But most of all, sheโs bored with the men in her lifeโespecially the bad ones. And then, one sunny afternoon, she accidentally kills one. Suddenly a problematic professor is dead, and Yrsa, well - sheโs no longer bored. Emboldened, she starts to chase the high, and soon no misbehaving sexist man within commuting distance is safe. Finally Yrsaโs academic research feels useful. But how long can killing in the name of feminist and racial solidarity justify her actions? And how long until her actions - an

Elizabeth Berg did what she always doesโshe finds the extraordinary hidden inside ordinary life. Flo, in her 90s and nearing the end of her life, writes to her beloved friend Ruthie, who has become a โfoundโ daughter. Through her letters, she reflects on the small possessions and memories that may seem insignificant to others but mean the world to her. Her stories made me smile, pause, and appreciate the quiet beauty in everyday moments. Even as her life winds down, Flo is still trying to make the world around her a little brighter. A thought provoking, heartโwarming read that gently reminds you to consider
