I’m sure I’m not the only mum going through an absolute whirlwind of emotions with that first day of school fast approaching. But I’ve been doing what I can to help Johnny learn all about what is coming in those first few days and weeks of school, and we’ve found story books to be really helpful! In particular, ‘Starting School’ by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, has been brilliant to read with Johnny, and help him to understand what a school day entails! The book is adorably written, easy for children to understand, and features all those everyday activities that our children will be partaking in once they’re in the classroom.
