Come hiking with us in the Adirondacks 🌲🐾 We had the most perfect spring weekend so it was a great time for Timber and I to check off a few more of his ADK9 challenge peaks 🥾 This is a series of nine, lower elevation peaks across the Adirondack Park that are very doable for dogs. This weekend we did Moxham (about 5.5 miles) and Buck (5ish miles) and we had such great conditions. It’s still very much stick season in the mountains but the dry trails + sunshine were just what we needed. We’ve done Buck before but this was my first time doing Moxham and it’s definitely a new favorite! I put the list of peaks included in the challenge on the second to last slide. 🌲 Moxham Mtn - Vanderwhacker Mtn Wild Forest 🌲 Buck Mountain (from shelving rock rd)- Lake George Wild Forest

I’ve been hinting at some big goals for this summer — and we’re officially in training mode. This training season is all about finding that delicate balance between building endurance for long mileage and preparing for big elevation gain. The Boulder Skyline Traverse is a route I’ve completed before — though it’s been years. It links up the five highest peaks around Boulder and is just as challenging as it is rewarding. Four Pass Loop is another familiar one, but last time I tackled it as a 3-night backpacking trip. This year, the goal is a single-day trail run push — ideally right at the peak of wildflower season. Sage will be training alongside me every step of the way, and if all goes to plan, she’ll be joining me for both of these big days. There’s something really special about sharin
