Foraging has been a growing interest of mine, so it was awesome to partner with @subaru_usa on a sustainability themed #sponsored camp cookout! We tried and failed to find gaper clams, and other species like mussels were restricted due to high domoic acid. But we found plenty of uni and bull kelp to work with! Coffee, walked the Wolfville waterfront to see the world’s highest tides, explored Blomidon Provincial Park, and of course ended the day with ice cream from The Real Scoop. Between the kids, the dog, backpacks, and all the random things we pack for a “simple day trip,” there was room for everything without feeling cramped.
