  3. I’ve been suffering in silence but it’s time to speak up in the hope that it helps others - March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛 Last year, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, fibroids and ovarian cysts after years of being told my pain was “just bad periods or IBS” It wasn’t.. For so long I’ve normalised: -Severe cramps during & outside my cycle -Brain fog -Extreme fatigue -Bloating -Heavy bleeding -Sudden, unpredictable, excruciating stabbing pains -Feeling faint -Shooting pains throughout my body and in my lower back & legs If you’re not familiar with Endometriosis, let me break it down: 👉It is a chronic disease with no known cure Where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it around reproductive organs and other areas of the body - causing inflammation, scar tissue & organs to stick together It is not “just bad cramps” It is life-altering It affects 1 in 10 women globally & I am one of them Besides the above symptoms it can also cause infertility & mental health problems I have surgery scheduled to remove the endometriosis, fibroids & cysts which feels like a huge step forward… although there is always the possibility it can return 😕 But this month isn’t just about me It’s for the warriors 💛The women who show up when their body is screaming 💛The women who smile through pain others will never understand 💛The women silently cancelling plans 💛The women wondering if they’re overreacting 💛The women worrying about fertility 💛The women suffering mentally 💛The women struggling in their relationships 💛The women exhausted from fighting their own bodies I hear you, I feel you 🫶 If you have been suffering and something feels “off” - please advocate for yourself Keep asking questions. Keep pushing for answers. This month spread the awareness - Wear yellow. Light up your page in yellow. Start conversations. Be bold. Be brave. Be yellow. 💛 You are not alone ✨ If this resonates comment below or send me a DM :) Sending love, NR x #endometriosis #endowarrior #awarenessiskey #endometriosisawareness
