  2. The four years flew by — but I definitely noticed them. During the last four years, I truly lived and created the life I always envisioned for myself — traveling the world, application-based interdisciplinary studies, being surrounded by the fantastic community and challenging myself (though , I wish challenging was more academically than basic life necessities 🤡). Here are highlights of my undergraduate experience: 1. Got to know 140+ exceptional students in my cohort from over 45 countries and made life-long friends ❤️ 2. Studied and lived in 5 cities: San Francisco, Berlin, Seoul, London and Buenos Aires 🌎 (a bonus rotation city of Leuven, Belgium 😂🫶🏻) 3. Earned two degrees: Bachelor of Science in Computational Sciences (CS & AI concentration) and Bachelor of Arts in Arts&Humanities (Art&Literature concentration) 📜 👩🏼‍🎓 4. Interned at Google and Meta as Software and Data Engineer 👩🏼‍💻 (and now at Bill) 5. Found friends with whom trips leave the chat to real life 🥹✈️ 6. Tried over 40 different cuisines 🍲 7. Learned how to wine taste in Mendoza, Argentina 🍷 8. Attended and won several hackathons, some of the notable ones being Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and the University of Washington (this one was 🫶🏻) hackathons 💻 9. Fell in love with hiking, with the highest hikes being Mt. Fitz Roy 3405 m (Patagonia, Argentina) and Mt. Rainier 4392 m (Seattle, Washington) 🏞️ 10. Increased my spice tolerance level by eating Korean and Indian food 🥘 11. Discovered audiobooks and listened to over 60 books on finances and self-development 🥹📚 Now will finally go back to non-fiction books 12. TAed (teaching assistant) 4 computer science courses for first-year students to senior years 👩🏼‍🎓 And many more points, which to 18-year-old me would be insane as I never thought I would end up doing STEM, let alone Computer Science, let alone in the US, let alone traveling the world and all on scholarships 🫶🏻👩🏼‍🎓 Those four years testified to dreaming & believing in my dreams, turning into goals & achieving them.   3. Как сфокусироваться на работе? Я - наверное гуру прокрастинации. Но есть пару лайфхаков, которые помогают мне с фокусировкой и тайм-менеджментом. 1. Accountability partner. Это самая главная часть. Этот человек должен быть на одной волне с вами ( к примеру если цель выучить язык, то оба должны учить языки), чтобы у обоих была мотивация друг друга вытаскивать из зоны прокрастинации. 2. Toggl - приложение для того, чтобы следить за тем, сколько ты проработал. Честно говоря, если использовать самим - то не очень эффективно. Поэтому подключайте accountability partner. У нас к примеру один рабочий стол, куда мы каждый день вносим сколько уделили времени на учебу/работу. Про тип: ставьте дневные цели и цену этому. К примеру, если один из вас не дошел до цели, то он покупает еду для вас. 3. Friend-call. Если вы заядлый прокрастинатор как я - то, звоните другу и просто сидите на этом колле. Не общайтесь, а занимайтесь своими делами. Если друг заметит, что вместо того, чтобы читать следущий параграф, вы сидите на телефоне - то вас вернут обратно в мир продуктивности. Про тип - за каждый раз, когда вас ловят отвлеченными, вы платите 1 манат ($/€/£, что хотите). И не забывайте про перерывы 💫 4. Mutual fund. Суть в том, чтобы собрать группу из 2+ людей и скинуться по 2-3 манат и поставить цель на 21+ дней. Надо будет каждый день присылать свой прогресс. Если вы достигли свою цель каждый день - то деньги возвращаются. . Если же вы пропустили хоть день, то деньги идут в общий фонд и потом делятся между теми, кто остался до конца. Нужно сумму выбрать, чтобы и не жалко было потерять, но и чтобы была мотивация ее получить обратно (типа 5 манат). 5. Social media block. Больше всего мы отвлекаемся на приложения как Инстаграм, Фейсбук, и тд. На iPhone вы можете лимитировать доступ к социальным медиа через Screen Time => Add Limits => Social Networking. Но если вы тоже любите ломать этот лимит, то можете пользоваться приложением Moment и добавить друзей туда. Тут главное, что у вас будет партнёр который сможет отслеживать ваш прогресс в блокирование приложений. Так, что я советую использовать Moment, если вы не можете заставить себя уйти от телефона. Всем продуктивности🌞

Сложно описать словами, какие эмоции я испытываю прямо сейчас: за последние 5 месяцев усердной работы над первым официальным сезоном @mbfw.azerbaijan я испытала весь спектр чувств - бесконечное счастье, удивление, ответственность, гордость, страх и сомнения, но самое главное чувство, которое крепко поселилось в моем сердце - это чувство благодарности: в первую очередь семье и друзьям, которые терпели мою бесконечную занятость и заряжали меня энергией, партнерам - которые давно знают меня, и доверились моим идеям, а те, кто только познакомился со мной - охотно пошли на авантюру; команде, которая поддержала все самые сумасшедшие порывы и эксперименты, и ни разу не дала слабину; международные гости, которые не только сделали время и прилетели, чтобы поработать с нами, а еще были и те, кто вызвались сами помочь и поддержать проект ради меня, и конечно дизайнеры, которые показали серьезные шоу, захватившие ваше внимание! Идею создать что-то реально грамотное и важное в стране поддержали и те, кто просто знает как работает механизм индустрии! Над проектом трудилось более 200 человек, приехало более 150 международных гостей, а цифры на инстаграме показали более 1.000.000 просмотров всего за 3 дня! Я еще долго буду пестрить в ленте фотографиями с показов и backstage, а пока - заедем на пит-стоп и за работу над следующим сезоном! Plastic Free July: Challenge 2️⃣ / Июль без Пластика: Задание 2️⃣ 🇬🇧 We are moving into the second Week of the challenge, and our new task is *drumroll* - REFUSE THE DAMN BAG! ❗️5 trillion plastic bags are used in the world each year and almost 100% are thrown away ending up in landfills or polluting the nature and the oceans. 🛍Refuse the single-use pollutant by having your own canvas, linen or even heavy-duty long-lasting plastic bags with you when you go grocery shopping. Old school straw bags work fine too 🌾 🚫Don’t take “biodegradable” plastic bags or brown paper bags that will be thrown away after a single use! Also, don’t use produce bags for fruits, vegetables and other bulk products. Although thin produce bags are banned in Azerbaijan (only below 15 microns thick) now they are frequently replaced by thicker ones.. Instead, use small cotton pouches оr any small sack or zip-bag that you have. Or just weigh a couple of fruit/veg directly on the scales and put them in your reusable bag ✅ Share photos of your reusable bags in stories and tag me with #plasticfreejuly! 🇷🇺Мы переходим ко второй неделе челленджа, и новое задание это *барабанная дробь* - ОТКАЗАТЬСЯ ОТ ПАКЕТА! ❗️Ежегодно в мире используется 5 триллионов пластиковых пакетов, и почти 100% из них выбрасывается, попадая на свалки или загрязняя природу и океаны. 🛍 Откажитесь от одноразового загрязнителя, берите с собой холщовую сумку или авоську или даже толстые многоразовые пластиковые сумки, когда идете за продуктами. Традиционные соломенные сумки тоже подойдут 🌾 🚫Не берите «биоразлагаемые» полиэтиленовые пакеты или крафтовые бумажные пакеты, которые будут выброшены после одноразового использования! Также не пользуйтесь фасовочными пакетами для фруктов, овощей и других продуктов на развес. Хотя в Азербайджане запрещены тонкие пакеты (менее 15 микрон), теперь их часто заменяют более толстыми. Пользуйтесь небольшими хлопковыми мешками или зип-пакетами, которые у вас уже есть.   2. About SPONTANEITY / Про СПОНТАННОСТЬ⁣ ⁣ 🇷🇺👉🏻⁣ ⁣ 🇬🇧 Do you often feel a sudden urge to do something that you haven’t planned? An impulsive desire, but not necessarily in a bad way. Do you usually go for it or do you choose to suppress the urge and go on with your day according to your plans/schedule?⁣ ⁣ A year ago my therapist told me that I am NOT SPONTANEOUS enough, that I don’t allow myself to follow the urge, my desire in a healthy way. I had never thought about it before. But when I reflected upon it, I realized that since my childhood I have been restraining myself from doing stuff that normal kids are supposed to do.⁣ ⁣ When I had the slight impulse to go have fun with the schoolmates in the schoolyard, thoughts like “what if I’m late to the class? what will my teachers think? I may stain my clothes or shoes, what will my mum say?” would immediately appear in my head and kill the spontaneous desire. I always thought about being the ‘Good Girl’, acting carefully and reasonably.⁣ ⁣ In psychology being Spontaneous means doing things that you haven’t planned but that you enjoy doing, acting without external constraints, but rather from natural inner feeling, state of being.⁣ ⁣ It is not about always acting on your impulses, or having all of your desires met immediately. But rather having the liberty to act without unnecessary constraints of your mind or expectations from other people. ⁣ ⁣ Now my thoughts and mind often try to control my emotions and actions, and even when there were some kind of impulses, they have been devalued and forbidden within me for so long that I almost lost my spontaneity.⁣ ⁣ Maybe you have noticed that I struggle with sharing my everyday life, myself here on the blog. Not that I MUST because it’s IG, but I want you all to feel that there is a real person behind, not just a page with occasional informative content. There are so many photos on my iphone gallery that I snapped ‘at the moment’ but didn’t share, because of some restraining thoughts on my mind..   3. Plastic Free July: Challenge 1️⃣ / Июль без Пластика: Задание 1️⃣ Today is the start of the global Plastic Free July challenge! The tasks that I will share here each week are something I already do, so my aim is to go further and avoid any kind of single use plastic as much as I can! It won’t be easy 🤞🏻 The first challenge I want you to try to make a habit of from this week is to refuse single-use coffee cups! 🧋To-go coffee cups are the representative of our throwaway culture - the tendency to use something for very short period of time and dispose of it like no big deal.
