  3. Today was an especially hard day. It marked our first trip to the ER with one of our children (perfectly timed during a pandemic). I canā€™t believe that in almost 9 years of parenting 4 children (@bri_norris calculated it at over 20 years cumulatively!) weā€™ve managed to avoid the emergency room, but here we are. While the experience was overwhelming in so many ways, I was constantly reminded by how incredibly fortunate we are to have such amazing health care providers here to help. The staff at St Joes comforted me and Fred and helped get him through his x-rays (a process he did not like). When the images came back showing a very clear collarbone fracture I welled up with tears. Itā€™s going to be a tough few weeks for us, as this active little guy heals, but weā€™ll get through. Time for some rest, and back to the fracture clinic with my babe in the morning ā¤ļø
