  1. Lessons learned the hard way… bear fences work phenomenally when you hook everything up correctly… this was 100% user error on my part. This was the 4th night away from camp running my @bearwatchsystems fence off of my power bank and @darkenergytech solar panel I thought I had connected correctly… unfortunately I had not double checked it. This sow and her cub had checked early when we were gone and took off thanks to the hard hitting fence but when she came back the power source was drained and the wire was dead 🤦‍♂️ we returned later that afternoon after 4 days away to find out we were just a little too late. Luckily she didn’t trash our tent/camp but unfortunately her and her cub did strip all of the velvet off of my caribou rack and chewed one tip of a point off. Luckily I had a trailcam pointed at camp so I could tell how recently the bear had been there and we knew to be on guard that evening since it had only been a few hours. I like having a cam pointed at camp when possible just to be aware of what’s going on in situations like this and in case anyone ever decides to snoop around. #grizzlybear #backcountryhunting #mountainhunting #bearfence #livewild

  2. Sept 8th started hunting - Tagged out November 26th. This year's hunt was unreal tough, lower numbers, weather being unusually warm, and my target never making an appearance. With countless hours throughout the season, I was fortunate as heck to harvest this big, beautiful ,mature bush buck.
