  3. Ég er tilnefnd! I’ve been nominated for the prestigous Icelandic Edda Awards as a leading actress in Black Sands 🙌🏽 Ég hef aldrei verið tilnefnd á ævi minni, fyrir neitt held ég. Nema rass bekkjarins 2010 sem ég vann ekki. Ég hef vonir en engar væntingar um að vinna heldur í þetta skipti, ég er bara svo ótrúlega þakklát og glöð að tilheyra svona stórkostlega flottum hópi kvenna sem fær svona mikilvæga viðurkenningu. Því það er rosalega mikilvægt að vera viðurkennd(/t/ur). Ég er líka stolt af því að vera fyrsta konan af blönduðum & lituðum uppruna til að vera tilnefnd sem aðalleikkona. Við erum ekki mörg í þessum bransa hérlendis en ég vona að við verðum bráðum fleiri! Þessvegna er er ég líka svo guðslifandifegin að hlutverkið snerist ekki kynþáttinn minn. Aníta er bara íslensk kona sem er á sínu ferðalagi alveg eins og ég, og fyrir öll þau sem töldu sig ekki eiga heima á þessari vegferð leiklistar nema undir formerkjum “minnihlutahóps” tel ég þetta mikinn sigur. Tilnefningin er ein og sér dásamleg. Viðurkenningin að eiga heima hér og veita vonandi innblástur og trú er annað. Takk @edduverdlaunin Svo vil ég taka fram að ég hefði ALDREI getað gefið allt mitt í þetta verkefni ef ekki hefði verið fyrir frábæra mótleikara og besta @baldvinz leikstjóra sem til er, dásamlega meðhöfunda @raggijons1969 og sterkasta stuðningsnet sem fyrirfinnst í formi foreldra, fjölskyldu og vina. Og að lokum, kærasta. Ég mun endurtaka þessa rumsu aftur seinna, Edduverðlaun eða ekki. Þannig er það bara. Nokkrar uppáhaldsmyndir af yndislegu samstarfsfólki sem lagði allt sitt í þessa þáttaröð án þess að (vonandi) brenna út eða fara yfir mörk skynseminnar. Þannig viljum við hafa það! Hue Supply is influenced by the natural beauty of Grótta and the great spectacle that the sky offers. The work is made f.e. from chameleon paint and dichroic film that shifts colors depending on the weather and time of day. Couple of circles made from acrylic glass and dichroic film are situated on either gable, facing North and South reminiscent of the sun or the moon. Passersby can reflect themselves and the nature in them, as well as observe the color changes they offer depending on the time of day they are viewed.   2. Gratitude 16 years ago I got the idea for a restaurant where I wanted to create a uniquely intimate experience with diners and offer great food. Now, 16 years later and with a lot of work and development, the idea of ÓX has been given a Michelin star. ÓX was never intended as such, but more as something new and different in the Icelandic restaurant market, like Sumac. Georg and Hafsteinn started the project with me and did an amazing job laying the foundation for ÓX and Sumac in the beginning; they deserve plenty of thanks for our achievements. My head chef Rúnar Pierre at ÓX has improved his craft at ÓX and continued to develop and improve ÓX with a great team of professionals, Guðgeir and Agne. I am incredibly grateful to all of these great professionals who helped create ÓX and Sumac. Just to name a few, but clearly not all, who have been involved in it: Georg, Hafsteinn, Tómas, Hróðmar, Leó, Alexander, Sigurður, Jakob, Harry, Úlfar, Halldór, Eyþór, Andrés, Oddný, Dagbjört, Arnór, Ayman, Sophie, Cesar, and Katrín. Thanks to everyone who helped nurture and support ÓX and Sumac, and my partners for believing in us. It’s a great achievement for Sumac to be 1 of 4 restaurants in Reykjavík that Michelin recommends. Now looking forward to a very exciting year to come with ÓX in a new place and the new Amma Don cocktail bar and wine bar which will open alongside it.
