  2. My Journey to Tiwi’s Beauty Studio: A Dream in the Making Hey loves, it’s Tiwi! I’ve been meaning to share this with you for a while now, and today, I’m finally taking the leap. If you know me, you know I’ve always loved grooming. I believe that when a woman looks and feels good, she carries herself with confidence and power. For me, hair has always been at the heart of that. I started selling wigs in 2019 while doing my master’s, but I soon realized many women didn’t know how to properly install them. So, I taught myself—not just for me, but to help my customers feel their best. For years, this was my side hustle while I worked a full-time job. But as work demands grew, my business suffered. I eventually put it on hold, and that hurt. It felt like I had let my dream die before it could flourish. In 2023, I finally took a leap of faith—I quit my job to pursue my passion full-time. I started from home with a small setup, relying on my loyal clients and word of mouth. By August 2024, I finally got a shop. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine. You may wonder why I haven’t shared much about this journey until now. The truth? Anxiety and perfectionism held me back. I second-guessed myself, wondering if I was really ready. I focused on everything that wasn’t right instead of appreciating how far I had come and how much God had done for me. But today, that changes. Despite still being a work in progress, Tiwi’s Beauty Studio is officially open to all of you! ☺️ This dream of mine is now a reality, and I am beyond grateful to finally share it with you. To those who have been with me since day one—thank you. To those just joining—welcome. My team and I can’t wait to serve you, create magic with your hair, and make you feel your absolute best.   3. 📍CAREER MILESTONE ⭐️YOUTH DELEGATE WITH WHO🇺🇳🌍 When I started my young professional journey, the advice widely received was “Don’t ever limit yourself to what you can achieve Kisha” This year, I came across a call from @restlessdevelopment @who seeking youth mobilizers to champion the end of violence against children, ahead of the Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children in Colombia this November. 🌍 Knowing that my own country was identified as a WHO hotspot for child violence, I felt compelled to take action and apply! 📝 Fast forward to 5 months later, I am a young delegate attending the Pathfinding EVAC 2.0 Technical Workshop with 5 other young amazing EVAC champions in Switzerland, Geneva! 🤯⭐️ The workshop agenda consisted of connecting with global government focal points on issues on EVAC, having intergenerational dialogues and discussing the many sustainable ways of globally championing the move for EVAC✊🏽⭐️ If you’re a young person and you see an opportunity for you to advise on policy change, government commitment or rule of law.
