  3. Spent my birthday doing the things I love, right here in Lilongwe. Started the day with a peaceful walk through the beautiful forest trails and boardwalk at the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre — I honestly never get tired of this place. It’s such a hidden gem and I keep finding myself going back. After my walk, I treated myself to a massage at Touch of Grace Spa — my all-time favorite spot in Lilongwe. Malawian-owned, with the best service and warm hospitality. I always leave feeling brand new. Lunch? You already know — Amakhofi Restaurant! I went for one of their healthy burgers (so good!) and chilled there for a bit before heading home to freshen up. Later in the afternoon, I drove out to the outskirts of the city in search of a good sunset spot. We ended up at Kubwinja Ethnic Lodge — it has a peaceful body of water (almost like a dam), and wow… the sunset views were absolutely magical. Wrapped up the day with a quick stop at Nkonko Juice Bar at City Mall for my favorite fresh juice.
