  2. Everything I am today is a reflection of decisions I made to change my story, I don’t believe in being a victim of my circumstances, I have always known that, I want a beautiful life for myself, I’ve also learned early that, a beautiful life doesn’t come from comfort, you have to learn how to challenge the odds and make choices that are uncomfortable to get where you want to be. CHOICES! When I was grade 8, I made the choice to leave Keetmanshoop because, circumstances at home were affecting my academic progress. I started grade 9 in Grootfontein (2014), my performance in school was so good, I became a head girl at that school. I completed grade 12, I was not satisfied with my grades, I made a choice to improve my grades, fast forward, I ended up at IUM Ongwediva, where I did two years but , couldn’t secure funding. I had to put my studies on hold to solve the admission issue that was affecting my chances of getting a loan. The issue was fixed however, I only had two options, starting over with my studies or dropping out. I made the decision to move to Windhoek & start over with a diploma. Since primary, leadership has been something within me, my best friend encouraged me to pursue leadership in Varsity, I became an SRC SECRETARY GENERAL LATER, THE SRC PRESIDENT OF IUM.💙 There is no bullying I haven’t experienced (ADVOCACY), I was mocked for choosing to upgrade my grade 12, for choosing to study at IUM, for being a head girl that lives in an informal settlement, for doing a diploma while, I was a president of an institution, these days, I am getting bullied for choosing to walk the Miss Namibia stage with a hairstyle that, I am most confident & comfortable with.😅 I will be 28 in 4 days, graduating with my Honours degree in 5 days. The same stones thrown at you, pick it up and use it to grow. Today, I am a qualified teacher, employed by the government, founder of @purpose_talks_with_oluwa and boldly chasing the @missnamibia crown as it has always been my dream.🥹💜 What you see, took time, patience, courage & faith. MOST IMPORTANTLY, MAKING INFORMATIVE CHOICES FOR YOU!✨ @debmarinenamibiaofficial Thank you!🇳🇦💎 Dress @carlos_kusenge 🥰🔥

  3. Happy international women’s day. 🩷 To the women around the world who dare to dream and be bold. To the women who believe in other women. To the women who fought tirelessly for us to have the privileges we have today and those who continue to pave the way for us to flourish and thrive. 💕 We see you, we know you! May we be them, may we groom and raise them!🌸 Today, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, I took time to speak with some of the incredible women of Namibia, who are in different professions, some of which are usually seen as “suitable for men only”, asking them how they feel about this special day and how they experience the way they are treated in society. I also spoke about my new journey towards the @missnamibia crown and how I want them to feel a part of it. I understand the platform is about giving women opportunities to feel seen today, we felt seen together!☺️ Through their voices, one thing becomes clear: women are truly the heartbeat of our world. They are the mothers of nations, the nurturers of families, the builders of communities, and the quiet strength that carries generations forward. Women give life, wisdom, compassion, and resilience to the world, often while carrying burdens that go unseen. Because of this, women deserve more than just a day of celebration they deserve respect, dignity, opportunity, and appreciation every single day. Let us remember that when we uplift women, we uplift humanity itself. Therefore, we must continue to embrace, support, and treat women with the honor they deserve. To every woman in Namibia and around the world: your strength, beauty, and spirit do not go unnoticed. Happy women’s day Queens all around the world’💕💜🩷 @nbcnamibia
