  2. Thank you to @hsbc_uk & @ukbbshow. The first trading floor I stepped foot on during work experience was @hsbc_uk back in summer 2006 so this is a full circle moment. When I started documenting my investing journey back in 2013/2014, I wasn’t thinking about lists, recognition or accolades. I was simply buying individual stocks for my pension, sharing what I was learning, and taking people with me so that investing felt less intimidating. So to be recognised as one of the Top 25 Black Entrepreneurs to Watch 2026 is something I’m genuinely grateful for. But here’s something I hope anyone reading this remembers… Recognition doesn’t make your work valuable. It simply shines a light on work that was already valuable. Some people get recognised early. Some get recognised years later. Some may never receive a public award at all. None of those outcomes determine your worth. One thing that made this recognition even more special was looking through the list (and past lists) and seeing so many people whose journeys I’ve genuinely had the privilege to watch unfold. Many are part of the @stockpickersacademy WhatsApp community. Others I’ve admired from afar. In many cases, we’ve quietly been cheering each other on long before this list existed. That, to me, is far more rewarding than seeing my own name. For everyone else on the list who I didn’t already know, my first instinct wasn’t comparison - it was to follow you, learn about your work and support what you’re building. Recognition shouldn’t end with celebrating ourselves; it should be an opportunity to discover, encourage and champion others who are moving the community forward. Congratulations to everyone recognised this year, and to everyone who’s been putting in the work without recognition yet. Keep building. The impact comes first.
