  2. 5 habits that are hard to start but pay off forever: I’m not gonna lie, these habits are difficult to build at first, but once they stuck, they completely changed how I approach my days as a student. The key is starting small and being consistent: 1. Waking up earlier → I started with just 30 mins earlier than usual and now I genuinely love having those morning hours to myself before the day gets chaotic to either do some work or workout. The clarity and control you get from starting your day intentionally (not scrolling) is unmatched and I always find I am most productive in those earlier hours before the day’s distractions start to come in! 2. Moving my body daily → Building consistency with the gym /running has been life-changing. Not just physically, but mentally too. Research shows that being physically active as a young adult has extensive benefits that carry throughout your life + I think it’s so important as a women to grow/maintain women as there are so many positive effects for later on in life. Plus it just puts me in a better mood and helps with focus! Find a movement that works for you, even if it’s going on a daily walk:) 3. Reading 10 pages a day → In a culture where everything is fast-paced and instant, slowing down to actually consume information through books has been so important. You get to control what you’re consuming and educate yourself intentionally. I used to mindlessly scroll, and while I am definitely not perfect at ever doing it, I find that when I am reading I pick up my Kindle so much more than my phone + it just helps me be a lot more intentional with going on my phone. 4. Time with myself → Whether it’s journaling, going for a walk, or just sitting with my thoughts - taking time to intentionally check in with myself has been non-negotiable. It helps me understand what I actually need (rest vs pushing through) and keeps me grounded when life gets busy. 5. Prioritising deep work → 2-3 hours of fully focused work (no phone, no distractions) beats 6 hours of half-distracted studying any day. #timeblock #deepwork #productivity #habitforming #habit

  3. here are some easy + simple ways to save time as a student specifically: 1 Meal prep - honestly saves so much time. when you’re making dinner, just cook for 3-4 people and put the extra portions in the fridge or freezer. or batch cook on a set day. 2 Use your commute - if you commute to uni or work (bus, train, whatever), find ways to use that time intentionally. it could be listening to a podcast related to your course/jobs ur applying for, doing flashcards, or even just reading for class. but it also doesn’t have to be work - maybe it’s time to just chill, listen to music, call a friend. either way, it’s time given back if you reframe it intentionally. 3 Make revision cards as you go - if it works for your course, don’t wait until exams to start turning your notes into flashcards - do it during or right after lectures while it’s fresh. notes don’t help that much on their own - questions do, and you’ll save yourself so much time if you just scrap the notes and turn the information your given into questions and answers. 4 2 minute rule - if something takes less than 2 mins (like clothes on the floor, 1 email etc.), do it now. it sounds like such a simple rule but it actually really does help reduce mental load so i would recommend at least trying it out! 5 Build a loose routine - routines don’t have to be rigid but having certain tasks at set times really helps with procrastination. like always going to a coffee shop on thursday afternoons to write up your lecture notes or revision cards. once your brain gets used to it, it takes way less effort to actually get started. #timeblocking #savetime #timesaving #productivity #studentlife

  1. We’ve been pretty inactive this year when the community has needed us to be more vocal than ever. 2020 has been, well, 2020, but we sadly lost three loved ones, and in our grief, ourselves slightly too. But, if this year has taught us anything, it’s that we must be united and stand up for our freedom. ~ Since it's been a while, let us re-introduce ourselves! We’re 30something sisters, Ariane and Delphine, living in S. London. We believe in medical freedom, research, informed choices and companies that have true ingredient transparency. We question everything we put in and on our bodies, and hope you do too. ~ We started this journey inadvertently in our childhoods when Mama Ftoxins found she, and her children, had sub-optimal health by relying only on mainstream medicine. This led her to explore different avenues, studying homeopathy, kinesiology, bodytalk, body code and learning more about nutrition, understanding that bioindividuality means we are all different with different needs. ~ Ariane and I rebelled in our teen years and early-20s, thinking we were superwomen able to use/ingest whatever we wanted, without consequence. It wasn’t until our late 20s that we realised that Mama was right about this 360 approach to wellbeing, emotional health and the earth’s resources, especially in light of the stresses of modern living and technology on our bodies. ~ We now eat mostly organic (we still have the occasional comfort McD’s 😛), only buy organic skincare/makeup, and enjoy organic alcohol. We also take supplements dependent on our current lifestyles (ie. Cysteine/Milk Thistle if we've been indulging.) ~ We know it’s a privilege to be able to be careful with our consumption, which is why our swaps are as close to the RRP prices of the conventional option. ~ I work in content while running a charity on the side, and Ariane is self-employed with qualifications in natural skincare and life coaching. She's your girl for ingredients your skin will love! We're not medical professionals but we know how to read a label, learn exactly what each ingredient is, comes from, and does. We look forward to learning alongside you guys in 2021 and beyond 🤓 ~ 📷 @ethiclee_
