  3. Baby no.2 incoming 🤍 Clementine’s baby sister will be joining us in Spring 2024. 1. Why is it that you look pregnant so quickly second time round? I feel like I was showing from the moment of conception. 2. This explains my spotty Instagram useage as my old friend hyperemesis has come back to play again. However it’s been far more manageable with access to meds/on solid ground. 3. Although I’m normally very much a share the good news only kinda girl, I’ve been on the other side when it feels like everyone is getting pregnant easily and I think it would be a bit remiss of me to just post this without mentioning that this is actually my fourth pregnancy and I’ve had two early losses along the way. It’s not been easy but it’s worth it. The easiest trick in the book is to strap a water bottle to your FPV drone so it will float on the water instead of sink to the bottom of the ocean. 🌊 Make sure the bottle is big enough for the weight of your drone. A good rule of thumb to go by is get a bottle that holds the weight of your drone in millimetres . So if your drone weighs 850g get a bottle that is 850ml or bigger. Here I’m using a 1L bottle. It’s the most cost effective way and takes 30 seconds to strap on and strap off unlike the other permanent methods using foam. I strap it on with a 350mm battery strap that I put through the drone frame under the ESC. Make sure it’s strapped on tight and won’t get ripped off on a hard crash into the water. It doesn’t affect the flight characteristics of the drone too much. Still flys fine. If you haven’t correctly conformal coated all your electronics then most of them will die from the salt water. But if you have then you can actually save most of the drone. Worst case scenario you get to retrieve your £350 @gopro with the footage and the £100 drone frame. So I’d rather strap a bottle to the drone and go for a swim than lose £1000. Obviously you’re not going to be able to retrieve the drone if you’re flying somewhere dangerous with really rough waves and steep cliffs etc. But it’s great for places that you could actually swim in like calm oceans, lakes and rivers. I don’t fly over water without it anymore. #fpvdrone #fpvdronetips

  2. Tips for flying your drone in the snow! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 With winter approaching rapidly here are some tips for flying your drone in the snow and cold temperatures. 1️⃣ Keep yourself as warm as possible. Wear thick gloves while preparing all your gear to fly then once ready to take off, swap to thin fingerless gloves for better dexterity while flying. Also get a transmitter glove for flying - this helps massively! 2️⃣ Keep your batteries for your drone and cameras as warm as possible. Get a heated battery bag or put hand warmers in your existing battery bag to keep your LiPo’s warm. Keep GoPro batteries close to your skin to keep them warm from your body heat. 3️⃣ Whilst flying you can wrap your LiPo in an old sock or similar to help stop the cold winds getting through to the LiPo and help keep flight times up. 4️⃣ Add a GPS to your drone as it’s really easy to lose where you took off from with everything looking the same in the snow. Then, if you forget where you took off from you can follow your home arrow in your OSD to make it back safe and sound. What other tips do you have? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏻
