  1. 2. Slow Sundays, stunning views, a roast to remember - and a dessert trolley that steals the show…Mar Hall magic. The 5-star Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort has redefined the Sunday roast, with two courses for £37 or three for £45 - a dining experience that truly lives up to the price tag. What we had: - Cocktails/mocktails: Bramble, French Martini, Mar Hall Spritz - Starter: Garden vegetable soup - Roast sirloin and braised cheek of Perthshire beef - Chicken supreme, sage and onion Roasts are served with Yorkshire pudding, carrot, roast potatoes, greens and cauliflower cheese. This absolutely lived up to expectations. The garden vegetable soup was the perfect start: rich, hearty, and so comforting. Paired with warm bread and Mar Hall’s signature butter, it set the tone beautifully. The mains were just as impressive, especially the chicken supreme, bursting with flavour, and the portions were seriously generous. To round off the meal, the dessert trolley was wheeled over, inviting us to pick whatever our hearts desired. It was such a unique touch, and the kind of thoughtful detail that really makes a place stand out. The desserts were beautifully presented and perfectly enjoyed alongside a gorgeous coffee to finish the experience. A Sunday at Mar Hall is a must. Come for the roast, stay for the dessert trolley ✨👀 Invite - #glasgowfoodie #sundayroast #marhall #scotlandfood #luxuryfood Sunday Roast Scotland | Luxury Sunday Lunch | Five Star Dining | Destination Dining Scotland

  3. The Leddie Hotel has a special place in my heart after the weekend just gone by ❤️ Situated in the beautiful coastal village of Aberlady, lies The Leddie - a 4 star boutique hotel, home to 27 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and the loveliest of staff making this feel like a home away from home from the minute we arrived. We stayed in the junior suite, a modern and spacious room with our own lounge to enjoy a welcome drink post-check in. The room was beautiful, so much so that I took inspiration from it for our own bedroom. You can really tell a whole lot of love has been put into the bedrooms, and the overall hotel. Our overnight included dinner and breakfast, and when I say this was some of the best food we’ve had on a staycation, I mean it. What we had: - Pan fried scallops, black pudding, cauliflower puree, apple - Pan fried North Sea hake, buttermilk sauce, braised leek, new potatoes, charred pearl onion - Sirloin steak, peppercorn sauce, fries, mixed leaf salad - Spiced apple crumble, gingerbread icecream - Yoghurt and apple compote - Pancakes, banana, maple syrup - The Leddie Muffin As highlighted the food was out of this world, every dish was faultless. This was my first time trying scallops and Hake and both dishes have left a lasting mark on me, I fear I may not be able to order any starter other than scallops from now on as they were incredible 🫣 The dessert was the best apple crumble I’ve had, I loved the spiced take on it, and combined with the gingerbread ice-cream this was just divine. The chef(s) at this hotel are so talented, and considering how busy it was on Saturday evening each dish came out perfectly and there were lots of happy diners. Breakfast the next day was just as good, the yoghurt and apple compote was a lovely start, and I can see why they have The Leddie Muffin on offer (just look at it!!) The Leddie offer an amazing overnight Coastal Escape Package - from £230 which includes a 3 course dinner, gorgeous room, breakfast and a welcome drink! 1. When they know food is your Love Language: 🇦🇶Antarctica Edition🇦🇶 There are many things to consider when planning an expedition to Antarctica. The destination speaks for itself however, the brand you choose to explore it with definitely matters. @aktravel_USA voyage to Antarctica offers the opportunity to experience the world’s most pristine region at its very best on board the comfortable and sophisticated ship, Le Lyrial. With the most wonderful staff, the ship is commanded by a French captain and his crew which means… exceptional French inspired fusion cuisine & fine dining. What more can you ask for while enjoying the most fabulous & remote views on earth? We didn’t have one bad meal onboard, it was fantastic! These were my favorite bites during our journey: 🍴Brioche Beef Burger ⚓️ Caviar & salmon sashimi 🍴Beef ragout Pappardelle ⚓️ Antarctica Ice latte 🍴Chicken Pad Thai ⚓️ A&K cappuccino 🍴French desserts ⚓️ Milk tea 🍴Chicken club ⚓️ Aperol Spritz 🍴Carbonara ⚓️ Fish & chips 🍴Hot chocolate & cookies ⚓️ Tuna tataki 🍴French inspired chocolate dessert ⚓️ Southern most bbq on earth 🍴Green curry ⚓️ Breakfast in room dining More about dining options onboard: Situated on Deck 2, The Restaurant offers outstanding gourmet and international cuisine with subtle flavours, complemented by an intimate atmosphere. Also, it is the place to be to spot those amazing waves during your sail through the Drake Passage! The more relaxed setting of the Compass Grill on Deck 6 delivers casual indoor and outdoor dining for breakfast as well as themed lunches and dinners inspired by our shared love of travel. The ship also offers multiple open bars, hot drinks+broth to warm you up after every Zodiac excursion as well as daily afternoon tea and specialty dining such as caviar & champagne tasting, the captains private party, Jamón ibérico & sangria evenings and more. A selection of light fare and vegetarian dishes is always available, plus In-cabin room service is available 24/7, which was amazing for breakfast. Exploring the white content works up an appetite, make sure you pick the best when planning your trip! @aktravel_USA #LATGxAntarctica [AD]

  1. 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲; Wine ties together my skills, passions, qualifications and abilities. I guess you would call me a 'Wine Communicator' - but what does that mean? Hopefully my activity can clear that up... ✍️𝗜 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲; I have enjoyed writing for as long as I can remember. I have written in print for Living Magazine and the Wine Garden of England, plus web articles for various sites. 👩‍⚖️ 𝗜 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲; Wine, not people 😉 Most recently as a table host for the People's Choice Wine Awards (Previous Round 2 judge), and also for Glass of Bubbly 📚 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆; I have enthusiastically studied wine extensively, and will always continue to do so. I passed WSET 2 and 3 with Distinction, and I hold the WSET Diploma with Merit. Plus I am Academy of Cheese level 1. Next stop? WSG perhaps. 🍷𝗜 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁; I enjoy sharing the knowledge. I have designed and hosted ticketed, interactive wine tasting evenings. 💡𝗜 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁; I work with PR companies to actively promote producers and regions who are looking to connect with new audiences. Majority of the time these are brands I already purchase. 💪𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆; I have vineyard experience harvesting and bottling wine in the UK.  I'm definitely more an outdoors than indoors person. 🌍 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹; My passion for wine takes me to many wine regions across Europe..from classic destinations such as Bordeaux and Loire, to lesser explored regions like Ahr and Franciacorta. 🍷 𝗜 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗲; well, of course! But, before all of this, I am a 36 year old wife and twin mum who works in the city 🥰 📸 @robinbootphoto #aboutme #wine #winepr #winelover #dipwset #Winehost #igerswine #discoverunder10k #winecommunications #winecommunicator #contentcreation #qualified #redwine #whitewine #communication #twinmum #Essex #London #Shoreditch #shoreditchtreehouse

  2. I am so fucking sick of expensive wine. Feelings. One of the hardest pills to swallow as a restaurateur over the last few years is the unrelenting rise in the cost of wine. It’s never ending. When I was a sommelier in my twenties, my pretty shitty pay packet could afford good wine. Sure, Charlie and I never bought clothes, and it was a conscious choice to spend what we had leftover after bills on bottles made by artisans making wines properly. But not now. Those wines and producers have slipped out of affordability for me, and most other people. Oh and FORGET BURGUNDY. At Sune, we’re constantly adjusting prices, lowering margins to make guests feel like even if we’re not cheap - which we’re not - we’re good value. You feel good leaving. Better than good. It’s pretty treacherous, and I often think it shouldn’t be this hard, it keeps me up at night. But back to the wine. Out with the fixed margins, which we never really did anyway, and in with gentle cash margins on our best bottles, wines from our cellar, some great gems that deserve to be drunk thirstily over a long lunch, not like old relics collecting dust on the wine list. It’s a gamble. We’re not a wine bar and have a whole kitchen worth of salaries to pay; a kitchen making brilliant food which is only getting better. So we’d need to sell more wine, and more food for it to make sense, but fuck it, let’s drink wine like we’re in Paris. Some favourites: Le Ferme de La Sansonnière’s ‘La Lune’ for £100, back-vintage Bornard for £85 and gorgeous curation of Grower Champagne including our good friend Charles Dufour’s ‘Bulles de Comptoir #13’ for £119, Frank Balthazar Cornas for £135, Gut Oggau Josephine for £105. Not cheap, but priced for wine lovers who know their value, and understand the work of the vignerons undergo to make bottles this good, and definitely too to give up on.
