I underestimated the terrain, intentionally testing my limits and learned exactly where they are. Wet mud + low clearance + FWD is a quick way to get stuck. Lesson learned, and hopefully this helps someone else avoid the same situation. Leaving designated routes can damage the forest and surrounding habitat which in turn creates road closures.
